They can't build something in Armagh because the funding is for Casement Park, Belfast.

I'd imagine the  announcement  from the Brits will look something like this...

Sounds like they're  going to do absolutely everything, including a cable  car to the moon

Announced that they will contribute 50million. This combined with 120million already locked in. With 15m from GAA that means there is now 185m. This is short of the 260m required but the Irish Gov have yet to step up which they have promised to do. With the GAA saying they can stretch futher then it would appear that between the GAA and the Irish Gov they now have to find 75m.

I would say this is a step in the right direction but not over the line yet. Hopefully this gives it all a kick start!

You'd imagine that the GAA and Irish gov were aware in advance that 50 million was going to be the figure. Therefore they will have already decided what their amounts were going to be to bring it up to the required figure to complete the project

Wee Jim Allister not happy. Which is good. Take his mind off whipping up racist loyalist scum in Ballymena

They GAA need to find a bit more and modify the stadium plan so that it can be built for £200m, which is a fair sum of money.
