This incident is the latest of a long list of verbal and physical assaults involving officials in Derry these last few years. If the county board do not put down a marker here then what message does that send out. The Bradley lads seem to have serious problems controlling themselves but that is hardly suprising when you watch 'The Baker' on the sidelines. Issues like these, that are all to frequent, are the main reason why Derry can do very little on the Inter county pitch.

I heard the Baker got a very lengthy ban from soccer in his playing days after gubbing a ref.

if your talking about the armagh game that was a completly fair comment as he was the most fouled player that day. and before you say it, no it doesnt excuse his sending off that day or this latest episode, not at all

And from reading the reports on the Derry thread there are quite a few that believed the referee  almost deserved  to be assaulted.  It was only a slap on the jaw, so what !  Unreal.  A shower of animals.easy to see that the wild mountain air and the gene pool mix continue to produce results year in and year out.

Hilarious!!! Especially considering the problems Antrim have had in their past and the fact that the ego on their team was booted off the panel for prank calling the manager!

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones and the bottom line is EVERY county has their problems so don't be coming on here labelling all the hard working Gaels when it's only 1 or 2 that are causing the damage!

Seriously though after the Cargin St. Paul's debacle and the amount of Antrim 'gaels' seen on TV acting like animals you've some nerve on you. . .

You may be right, but EVERY time he referred to the match, even in articles weeks later, he still trotted the line out.

Every county may have their problems but Derry football is on another level altogether. The sheer thuggery that is displayed year iin year out defies belief.  Their county board would seriously have to take a long hard look at themselves.

You can try and square your circle as much as you like , but theres a hell of a difference in a prank phonecall and an assault on a match official.

Just getting to here about this after reading the Irish news, so took a wee look to see if it was mentioned on this board and low and behold. Tara stuff. Those Bradleys are some mess. Paddy huffs because he is dropped and walks off the Derry squad. Has he huffed with every manager other than his Da?  Our own Ryan Mc Menanim was dropped this championship year, but did he huff, not on your nelly, a real battler is our Ryan, unlike Paddy. The brother is now alledged to have hit a ref. Two good footballers but there playing careers have been all predominately about controversy and its not a coincidence IMO there intercounty careers has coinsided with Derrys poor Ulster championship form for ten yrs. A post from glensman-derry on Eoin alledged assult would be very insightful on this thread. He seems to have the inside line on the Bradleys.
