The Official Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup thread

This is what happens when you let an official from one of the weaker counties countries referee a big game.  Surely that match cried out for a Munsterman to referee it, someone who understands the white heat of Championship football.

I'm usually not too hard on refs and I know this was the first game but the penalty award to Brazil is a candidate for the worst decision of the entire competition.

The business of letting the crowd sing the second verse of the anthem.  Everyone seems to start at a different time.  It actually sounds shit.

Looking forward to Fred, Jo and Bernard being on the pitch at the same time.  Easy for commentators and at least their parents know where they are.
