Derrynoose GAC, Co. Armagh,  are attempting to break a World Record Attempt for the most participants in the 100 metre relay over 12 hours on Saturday 12th June. It is a fundraiser with a difference where clubs and organisations can fundraise on top and raise much needed monies - up to and more than 10k could be raised by clubs.

Also on the same day all four codes, camogie, ladies football, hurling and football, will see FOUR fada competitions for county titles up for grabs at senior level.  As far as we are aware this has never happened anywhere else in Ireland and how many FADA competitions do you see these days?.  Check out http://derrynoosegac.com/wordpress/?p=130  for the FADA competitions and check out the rest of the website for information on the world record attempt.  A great way for clubs to raise loads of money without organising anything.

PM me if you need more info.

Jamie Clarke is alot bigger than I thought. I know a few others in the picture and thought he would be smaller than them. Best of luck to Derrynoose. I know each club participating will benefit, as will the county board and Action MS and Derrynoose themselves. Hope the weather stays clear and hope to make it up myself.

These competitions are also open to non-Armagh players who want to see how well they can do.  Check out www.derrynoosegac.com for information on registration.  Competitors from Armagh will be able to compete for the county title - competitors from outside county Armagh can compete but not for the Armagh county title.
