Catch the high ball

I seen Ricky Ponting hitting the ball on Sky Sports News and he was hitting near over the bar from outside the 45.

He'd make a right wee corner back!

compromise rules would take our hurlers onto the international stage. besides the obvious game against engerland we'd get a run at the aussies, the indians, the pakkies, the windies and new zealand, south africa,  no forget south africa they'd bring those fukn horns. but seriously this project could have legs, going forward, i sound like brian cowen. if we can have a makey uppey game with the AFL there no reason we cant do the same for the hurlers

Ponting is a handy sportsman. He played AFL as a kid in Tasmania and apparently went OK. He is near enough to a scratch golfer as well. One of the best batsmen of the current era. Little surprise he would be handy with the hurling stick.

He was moaning a few months ago that his golf handicap was back up to 3, cheeky p***k, not enough for him to be a millionaire sportsman :P
