I was there a while ago and was in the coroners court, max two days there but my case was adjurned, we had to go to another hearing and it was names from a hat, i won and was home by 12 that day

My brother got called up one day and he asked the judge could he just pay the grand and be done with. Judge nearly did him for contempt. He ended up not sitting on any juries but was there for weeks.

I'd hate to have sit on a jury thankfully I'm not able to just yet

I did it last May and thought it was a gift, got picked for a 5 day trial. It beat being in work. Maybe a different story if you were self employed and trying to claim back lost earnings.

Knowing first hand the amount of delay and hanging around involved in jury trials I would hate it as it would drive me mad
