Sure Madrid have spent loads of Cash on a new team but Lyon spent a fair bit themselves

Higuain missed chances against Lyon, but despite the abuse he's taken from the likes of Marca, he's still first choice striker ahead of Benzema even though Perez disapproves. Higuain is currently without doubt one of the best strikers on the planet.

In fairness to Madrid they are pushing Barcelona every step of the way in La Liga and are playing some of the best football you will see. I watched them last week against Sevilla and when they went 2-0 down their football was as good as I have seen until they scored an injury time winner.
