i remember when kerry played up in derry last year i was so thrilled to see tadgh kennelly come on, i was full of hope for the summer ahead and i was not disappointed! now no tadgh and no darragh (which is an awful thought to any sane kerryman). anyway we must go on and as darragh said 'they aint retiring the jersey - its there for the next fellow'. really looking forward to seeing paddy bradley tomorrow, one of those players worth the admission price alone. the weather will be good and there will be a big crowd there so it should be a good day, kerry cant afford to lose 3 in a row so hopefully we can pull it off

Kerry Mike

(1)Brendan Kealy Kilcummin (2) Padraig Reidy Scartaglin (3) Tommy Griffin (Dingle) (4) Tom O'Sullivan (Rathmore) (5) Adrian O'Connell (St Michaels/Foilmore) (6) Aidan O'Mahony Rathmore (7) Killian Young (Renard) Capt (8) Seamus Scanlon (Currow)(9)Micheál Quirke (Kerins O'Rahilly's ) (10) David O'Callaghan (St. Pats Blennerville) (11) David Moran (Kerins O'Rahillys) (12)Darran O'Sullivan Glenbeigh/Glencar (13) Colm Cooper (Dr. Crokes ) (14) Kieran Donaghy (Austin Stacks)   (15) Declan O'Sullivan (Piarsaigh na Dromada)

Fir Ionad

Ger Reidy (Castleisland Desmonds) Aidan O'Shea (Glenbeigh Gleancar)Paul O'Connor (Kenmare)Marc Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht )  Anthony Maher (Duagh) Kieran O'Leary (Dr Crokes) Alan O'Sullivan (Tuosist) Ciarán Kelliher (Milltown Castlemaine) Brian Sheehan (St Marys) & Gary O'Driscoll (Skellig Rangers)

A few more old faces coming back from the winter break, great to see Tom O'Sullivan back I had some doubts we would see him again in a Kerry jersey.

And last years captain Darran Sul has finally stopped taking Sam on tour and is back playing football and there is also a welcome return for a young fellow at No 13, no longer will we hear the tribal tones of G'wan Darragh rising from the Kerry hordes but G'wan D'Gooch will still ring strong from the Kerry ranks for a few more years yet.  Welcome back Colm.

Brian Sheehan has shaken off recent worrying injuries and returns to the subs as does recently married Marc O'Se.

So no more Mike Frank Russell, Eoin Brosnan, Sean O'Sullivan, Diarmuid Murphy or Darragh all retired from 2009, Tadgh and Tommy Walsh have fecked off to seek their fortune in Oz, Galvin is suspended again, and Mike McCarthy and Tomas O'Se have still to commit to 2010 but a few young faces are holding on to first 15 slots and trying to stake a claim and thats good to see and good for our immediate future, but we need to get a win under our belts shortly and tomorrow would be a good start.  We are missing a few of the U21's as well so not an easy job.

Derry are always very tough league opposition and will be a very stern test of us even at home in Tralee given training is only really getting back on track now given all the distractions of the last few months.

Nothing wrong with that Kerry team, ye won't let Sam go that easily either.
