I'm no ski expert but skiing on one knee is surely not ideal.

Maybe we lack the drive and ambition she has to be world class athletes! Nothing to do with talent

Complete madness but...

She was a genuine medal contender before the crash after what, 6 or 7 years out of it? Primarily as a result of years of knee trouble I think. She also came through a training run yesterday no bother and by all accounts looked good.

If she hadn't caught the gate with her arm (though was likely battling hard on the opening section), her knee may have been fine for the rest of the race.
