Ulster Junior Hurling Club Championship
Na Seamrógaí v MacCumhaills - Healy Park Omagh - Sunday  3.30pm

MacCumhaill's continue their adventure against Tyrone champions Seamrógaí

By Staff reporter
ALAN FOLEY

County hurling champions Seán MacCumhaill's fly the Donegal flag in the Ulster Club Junior Hurling Championship this Sunday when they take on Tyrone title-holders Na Seamrógai from Strabane.

Don Browne's team have been busy recently as barely a fortnight has passed since they defeated Setanta in the County Final at O'Donnell Park by 0-15 to 0-12. It was the first victory ever by the side from Ballybofey and Stranorlar and the win was achieved thanks largely to county panellist Lee Henderson, who scored nine points in all.

And although the celebrations after that success was understandably lively, the side from the Twin Towns got back together to cap a fine week when they made their way to Healy Park last Friday for the Ulster senior Hurling Club League Division Four final against St Peter's from Warrenpoint, Co Down.

Once more Henderson was the star of the show with a goal and nine points in the 2-14 to 0-8 win and on Sunday MacCumhaill's return to the scene of that triumph with the likes of Gerard Grindle, Anthony Patton, Jamsie Donnelly, Ciaran Mathewson, Justin McGee, Gerard Cunningham and, of course, Henderson, as they try to down the Strabane team.

Jumping the gun a bit but draw looks nicely set up for appetising QF of Cross V St Galls.

St Galls would be slight favourites for this I would imagine.

By the way for any Donegal Gaels how are the 2 legged ties working out? Do away teams sit back or does it make no real difference?

Thats a tough draw for the winners of Antrim. Tyrone winners have a favourable draw
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea
