St. Galls were the best team in what i saw  (from 45 mins onwards)..
Ref was a joke alrite.

The over use of the fisted pass by the galls team made the viewing quality much poorer.
It got more and more like basketball as the game went on.

ONeill

Well done St Gall's.

You can see why they're so good at 7s football. They could keep the ball for as long as they liked.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Sean Kelly is a good un.

Strong finish by Galls - thank God they won  - the Gardai would definitely have been needed for an escort.

It should never have been extra time.

completely agree...thought big Gallagher in midfield had a superb match also, emptied the tank.

Antrim are doing rightly in Div 3 without a lot of talented Gall's men...signs are good which is good for the game

Jesus but Galls are very short  - 2/9 and 9/4 Kilmurry ?

2/9? They can stick that up their hole.

I always thought that if someone was 2/9, then the other team had to be 9/2 ??? They're not giving anything away.

If Galls didnt win that match due to that 'referee' it would have been a disgrace

Galls were the better team by far.

Galls didnt play too well though with Terry O'Neill, Kev McGourty missing a bagful of chances while Kev Niblock and Rory Gallagher never even scored.

When Galls went about 5/6 up it looked like they were gonna give them a tanking as they did against Portglenone, Clontibret and the Loup.

But the ref, as only GAA refs do, kept the losing side in the game. St Galls are the yapping type though as someone said, worse than any team you'll ever hear and that, coupled with the Belfast accent could rub refs up the wrong way i think--but it shouldnt do. That ref made me sick--imagine training for months/years to be cheated out of an All Ireland by some p***k.

Kelly is different class, a rubber man, if any man on here could lay a hand on him in a game of bulldog i'd give you £1000

Tyrone are even money favourites for Ulster championship -

Antrim are 50/1.

Surely with the Galls men all back in tow, they should be able to put it up to Tyrone and even beat them.

If they bate Tyrone first day out, your 50/1 would look very big ??

Club success doesn't always mean success for the county team!

if it did Carlow would had been better
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Aaron Boone

From a Kilmurray/Ib perspective - Galls not that impressive 2nite.

Kilmurry v St Galls, an intriging match?

The pace of tonight's game was much quicker than the Kilmurry v Pt Laois game.  To me this suggests St Gall's will take the final.  The Pt Laios side never presented any real threat to Kilmurray.

But our great game is a queer one and if Kilmurry can slow down St Gall's flow they will have every chance.  Kilmurray's play is slow and ponderous but none the less effective. But it relies on three or four of their key players bettering their markers on the day.  An orghanised squad like St Galls can usually deal with individual stars and I think the Kilmurray offence will have to work hard for their scores.

In defence, if Kilmurry can deal with the speed of St Gall's they will have a good chance but my instinct is that St Gall's will be too speedy and powerful.  St Galls by 3 or 4.

Imho this game was virtually unreffable as both sides took the tackle to the edge of legality..... leaving alot of calls very marginal and with the aggrieved team and fans baying  away. Galls were imo the better side and Corofin will rue the wastefulness of the first 15 mins.

The only reason I think that the Corofin lad wasn't sent off in et for the slap was the embarassing dive of the SG player. Cringeworthy in the extreme and a tad distasteful.

Anyway hope the Clare lads win it but wouldn't begrudge either club the win.

Definitely the better team won, although we kicked the game away in normal time with a shocking amount of wides.

Ref was awful and although he got the rules right regarding extra time and 15 men, the fact that cards carried over and we went from being a man down to a man up is definitely a bit of a joke.

Sean Kelly gets better every time I see him and if he wasn't an Antrim man would surely be lauded as one of the finest half backs in the country. His engine and ability to take a score are phenomenal, yet he always gets back to defend superbly.

Aidso was dominant in the middle that Corofin were afraid on kicking it out from the end of the first half. Kieran McGourty also had a fantastic game I thought, particularly when it came to hoovering up loose ball

Fully deserved victory but will need to eliminate a lot of the sloppy mistakes on St. Patrick's day if they're to win the whole thing.

Would especially like to congratulate the players from my underage teams: CJ, Mark Kelly and Burky.

Thought the younger members of the St. Gall's support unleashing shouts of "cheat" (after which O'Donavon banged over a great free from the 45 to stick it right up them) and the tumultuous cheering when Sice got sent off were a disgrace. No place for that in the GAA.

Croke Park, St. Patrick's Day, Destiny. (Again!)

Really enjoyed the game last night despite the inept performance of the referee.  St Galls are a joy to watch at times particularly when their running game is operating well.  In Sean Kelly they have a player who would grace any team he is going to be a massive addition to the Baker this year.  Very impressed with Kieran McGourty, have saw him a number of times and he has been very good each time - doesnt get the same plaudits as the brothers but is every bit effective for St Galls as the other 2.

The Worker

Does anyone know what times the thrown ins are at on St Patricks day?
