could this be Punt slipping away silently or will he re-emerge after the 6 weeks? Unlikely i think.

Can't see him coming back again.

Police in east Belfast are looking for a 21 year old man.
He was last seen walking down the middle of the Ormeau road wearing a sash and singing
" It was old but it was beautiful"

Mrs Robinson is currently receiving 'acute psychiatric treatment', but according to herself he's not half as cute as young Kirk.

Iris - Put your underpants on your head (if you can find them) and stick two pencils up your nose. They'll think you're crazy and send you home.

Apparently the cops have lifted Kirk McCamberley and charged him with having an offensive person on his weapon :o

Is that with her mouth full?
;D

At what point in the process did Iris think it was OK to ask two property developers to give £25K each to a young man they probably never knew and were not going to get their money back so it was hardly an innvestment by them?

Was this the first time she did this?

Why would a property developer give away £25K even if they were well at themselves unless they were very, very, good friends?

In this particular allegation, Peter is fairly safe (other than that he didn't report it) but no doubt some other hacks are delving into any previous dealings with the same or other developers but he's manys a thing but being stupid isn't one of them and it'd be hard to pin anything on him.

One thing I'd like to know is what the professional protocols are when someone has attempted to commit suicide?

Because we have been told that rather than dial 999 or a medical doctor, PR telephoned a psychiatrist (was this her gay curing friend?) and then "monitored" her throughout the night? Yet an ambulance (rather than a car) was needed to take her to hospital the next morning?

it totally depends on what was attempted. eg a person could take a handful of sleeping tablets thinking it would do the job, but its highly unlikely they would come to any harm apart from a days sleep and a hangover. a handful of paracetamol on the other hand could be potentially fatal and would require medical observaton and blood monitoring. if peter was able to consult with a psychiatrist and tell him exactly what iris had taken, the doc would know if it needed treatment or not. if the call was made to psychiatric services in general, normal protocol would be to arrange an ambulance in the event of overdose. thats assuming of course it was od.
