I wonder what new revelations, if any, will be in Panorama on BBC1 tonight? Or is it just more or less a repeat of Spotlight for viewers in Britain, especially since the English tabloids are going mad for the story over there.

Yes, they're sensitive to questions!"

One thing I'd like to know is what the professional protocols are when someone has attempted to commit suicide?

Because we have been told that rather than dial 999 or a medical doctor, PR telephoned a psychiatrist (was this her gay curing friend?) and then "monitored" her throughout the night? Yet an ambulance (rather than a car) was needed to take her to hospital the next morning?

it totally depends on what was attempted. eg a person could take a handful of sleeping tablets thinking it would do the job, but its highly unlikely they would come to any harm apart from a days sleep and a hangover. a handful of paracetamol on the other hand could be potentially fatal and would require medical observaton and blood monitoring. if peter was able to consult with a psychiatrist and tell him exactly what iris had taken, the doc would know if it needed treatment or not. if the call was made to psychiatric services in general, normal protocol would be to arrange an ambulance in the event of overdose. thats assuming of course it was od.
Yeah but if you come across someone who's taken (or you suspect) has taken an overdose you wouldn't ring a psychiatrist, you'd be calling an ambulance.  the attempted suicide claim is a bit dodgy imo
Which one of you bitches wants to dance?

Ken Campbell says he is still owed €5,000.

Was Fred Fraser's estate paid back the other €5,000?

If not, does Iris still have it?!

I was watching UTV Live at 6 tonight. Did anyone notice when they showed the DUP lining up in front of the camera for Dobbs' statement at the bottom of the stairs at Stormont, they all had big sour looking heads on them? Well all but one. Big Ian was laughing his head off!  :D

I tell you something - if Arlene Foster ever gets to be forst minister, we're finished.

Jesus but she came across as a very, very bitter pill.

God help us if she gets promoted.

Cheeky bitch.

What did she say? any examples?

Am I missing something or how come you refer to wee Nigel as Dobb's? (also could be me nitpicking!)  ::)
