If the Punt is removed from office you could have his within 18mths.

I'd like to hear both their stories from the Dock.

Oh and saw this on Slugger.

Shankill Moaner Paper

Brilliant. A lot of stuff yet to come out featured in it too  :D

Read on another forum that a fella was at an event in Washington and a senior DUP member with a beautiful voice was also present and there was talk of his predilection for paying young men for certain services, allegedly, and I don't mean washing his car.

The DUP knives are being sharpened by the looks of things. Although I've no idea why David McIlveen thinks it's his position to comment?! ???
McIlveen's just a small-minded asshole, who has spent his life balancing on Big Ian's coat tail. And since Big Ian is now pretty much a "busted flush" - he can't even save Ian Jr. these days - then McIlveen's words will have little influence within the DUP (even if it might persuade ordinary FP's).

As I see it, what is significant about this statement is not what McIlveen has said, still less who he is.

Rather, it is very revealing who he is not.

That is, we can be sure that the media have been doorstepping all the senior DUP figures round the clock, yet still they cannot get one to come out and say anything significant either way.

I would guess the most likely explanation for this (new-found) reticence is that they are all waiting to see which way the wind is blowing with Peter the Punt.

No-one will want to be seen to be the one who wielded the knife, while there is still a chance he'll step down himself. And if he is unwilling to do so, potential heirs to the throne would need to be sure of success before they moved to topple him. Even moving to assemble the "men in grey suits" would spell disaster if not enough of them where persuaded to pay Peter a visit.

And, if one is being cynical (perish the thought!  ;)) there is doubtless an alternative/additional reason why they are all keeping stumm. We can be certain that Peter himself has been in close contact with the likes of Dodds and Donaldson etc, in order to keep them onside. And we can be equally certain that should there be any dirt attached to them, Robinson will know all about it, and will not feel restrained from "reminding" them of the consequences for themselves, should any of them be wavering in their support... :o

Hell slap in into them, I say!  :D :D

What way do you see this ending EG??

Also, If your alluding to something in the the last line there (or maybe your not) do you think it will ever be brought to light?

Iris Robinson ousted from DUP

Saturday, 9 January 2010 19:42

The Democratic Unionist Party today ousted disgraced MP Iris Robinson.

Her membership has been terminated and she will leave Westminster and her MLA's position in Stormont as early as next week because of the shame over her financial dealings with a 19-year-old lover.

Party officers would meet as early as Monday to decide who would replace Mrs Robinson as MLA in the Northern Ireland Assembly.

However, there will not be a by-election for her Westminster Strangford seat as a general election is likely before the formal writ can be moved.

The wife of Northern Ireland First Minister Peter Robinson announced just after Christmas she was quitting politics because of severe depression.

But the Robinsons have since been plunged into controversy after it emerged Iris had secured £50,000 from two wealthy developers to help her 19-year-old lover set up a restaurant business in south Belfast.

Her husband Peter has been left fighting to clear his name after insisting he did not know of his wife's irregular financial dealings with her teenage lover.

It is believed Mrs Robinson remains living at their east Belfast home.

But authoritative sources with the party claim the leader believes his marriage may not even survive, never mind his political career

Today's Tribune will claim that Iris has had affairs with Mr McCambley's father and with a DUP member during the 1980s.

The Tribune is one step away from the Sunday World IMO. The lads father is dead, so can't defend himself and I'd lay money neither the DUP member or the source is named. Sounds like a Suzanne Breen exclusive fiction.

Seany has said this too and he has been proved right so far.

What did he say Ziggy? Obviously the Tribune will be tainted in any Shinners eyes after their story last week proving Gerry was lying through his teeth.

Ziggy, Seany may have known the story was about to break but he doesn't know whether or not it's actually true. I don't see the point of stories like this other than for crass titillation (a la the Sunday World). The McCambley family has been shamed already, the Viris humiliated and the Punt is toast. Why use a dead man to inflict further damage?

Iris has been shamed and shown to have a public face and a private face. Nothing more to this story is helpful I agree. I'd just like to see a few more of them, with their dirty laundry out to air.

In what way is Breens work fiction? Did she photshop the picture of Gerry and Liam Adams in a Dundalk newspaper or has she said anything that isnt remotely true?
I was listening to her on Today FM on Friday and she seemed to know Iris quite well and seemed to hint at further revelations to come.

I hope all these stories are true  :D

You know they are.

I know, but I want the stories exposed properly to the public.  :D
