While not wishing to condone in any way the sexual abuse or the mismanagement of same, it is nevertheless a fact of life that human beings ( from governments right down to individuals) always have and always will try to cover up faults and failings, therefore why confine witch hunts to the catholic church and its bishops. Its errors have been fully exposed and I'm sure that there will be no recurrence.

All mistakes are repeated eventually, that is human nature. Unfortunately people in authority like covering things up, doesn't matter what it is. It is in their nature. They should let the priests marry and that would put manners on them.
