I know he's a thoroughly dislikeable individual, but I think Mervyn King may be the only one to give Taylor a match on that side of the draw.

Kevin Painter and Ronnie Baxter would be the two I'd be looking at on the other side of the draw at the prices. Painter usually goes well at the World Championship and he isn't likely to throw the towel in like that clown Mardle last night. Baxter was in great form earlier on in the year, he might have slipped back a bit since Vegas but if he can get a bit of momentum going he could go far.

BTW, how did this Kirk Sheppard lad reach the final a few years back? I'd give him a run for his money down the local!
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

Seems to be Brendan Dolan. Says on wikipedia he is from Belcoo. Screenmachine mentioned earlier he throws in the South derry league. Wonder has he come across SLK on his travels?

Shepherd was great that year he got to the final and beat some good players. The standard was also low that year. Not sure if it was anything related to it being the first year at the new venue. In that year, Taylor lost to Mardle in the quarter final, as well as nearly getting beat in the 1st round that year by Van Gerwen. Think Barney had the flu as well so wasn't playing overly well.

He was absolutely blessed to get there. Everyone seemed to miss darts to beat him. Even Mick McGowan missed a few doubles to knock him out if I remember correctly.

King won easy, 3-0. Threw well, scored high and finished well. Should b a good game with him and Stompe in next round.

Is there anything better than finishing on the bull? Good few finishes on the bull so far since last night.

ONeill throwing now.

:D

The South African is trying to intimidate the Irish man by having Union Jack flights. No call for it.

The intimidation didn't work. O'Neill won 4-2 to play Lewis later on tonight. Good man O'Neill!

O'Neill is doing rightly against Fearon in the darts.

O'Neill is getting some hammering. He'll be back on the board sooner than you think.
