He pretty much implied that Ros were the happiest county in Connacht because Sligo/Mayo/Galway are on the one side of the draw... He forgot about Leitrim though.

3 strongest teams on 1 side. Happy enough with that, get an early idea of how strong you are and if you loose, you loose early so have better shot at the back door.

Well he does live there, at least he didnt completey write us off.

Tough draw and minors too. Disappointing. But its Mayo at home so well see and John bannon wont be ref so we have a chance, at least the qtr final means we wont have to wait 11 weeks to play after NFL.

Grand draw. Win the semi-final and you're on a roll. Lose the semi-final and at least you'll have time to recover in the qualifiers. Worst position is losing the Connacht final as invariably you have a qualifier match the following weekend. Obviously we have Mayo in Castlebar next year so doesn't really matter when we meet them. If Sligo upset Mayo then we have Sligo at home.

Should be a good game in Sligo, being from Ballina and in college in Sligo, the banter is going to be good that week. Let no Mayo poster on here say its going to be a walk in the park, because its not gona be one......... Give Sligo due respect....... and then beat them off the park. Is there anyway the mods could put a cap on the amount of mayo members, theres too many of yee. Its not a fair fight on here. Stephenite can you do something?

I mean to say, we cant have any of the rubbish talk like we've had in the past, sure look at the lack of respect we showed meath this year..... according to some people around ballina, we were in last years semi before the meath match.....

That should be true ballinaman. But lets talk turkey here for a minute. Nothing is going to change next year. Remember we won provincial this year and capitulated anyway. That was after our inadequacies being shown up well in the previous 2 matches and were not addressed. The Meath match was lower than the recent AI losses imo. Nothing in it to suggest a better lot any time soon. That great Meathman The Duke of Wellington could have been talking about Mayo in Croke Park instead of the French at Waterloo when he said ' they came on in the same old way and we beat them in the same old way'. We never learn from the lessons of the past. This was not about the supporters being arrogant, which is the usual ould codology that is thrown out. Funny how Mayo supporters get blamed for Mayo defeats but get no credit for the wins. The team was poorly prepared and selected and fell to the first half- decent opposition we met [ we were fortunate to survive the worst Galway team since Fergal O Neill was a regular forward for them]. We ve no reason to be hopeful, never mind optimistic for '10 - front door and certainly not backdoor. Early defeat and these boys are club players. Whats going to be different next year? More Johnno. More ould guff for grannies. More inadequate Kilty programmes - that somebody else must run. More psycho bullshit and guest speakers. New year. Same circus. Same clowns.

Sligo sure got the short straw while we seem to have got the luck of the draw

but alot of football to be played from now untill then, would be nice for a change not having Galway & mayo in the final much like the all ireland without or tyrone and kerry (all well i can dream

I think the Roscommon v Leitrim will be alot closer in 2010. Mulligan was a huge loss and they were on there 4 free taker in that game after 25mins of glancy getting injured. M&M couldnt be that unlucky next yr.

IMO its always a good year when mayo and galway are on the same side of the draw for Connacht. And you know its a huge opportunity and Challenge for us but I believe we have the potential to meet it head on.

We have to get Brendan Egan,Daniel Davey and Johnny martyn back involved.
