Amazing story from Samoa.  The tsunami hit just after sunrise.  One old man was out just before dawn and noticed the sea, already at low tide, being sucked out quickly and recognised the danger. so he raised the village alarm.  The village was razed off the map, only 2 (sadly though) killed as the others managed to scramble up the hills behind the village.

FFS, just now another report that another typhoon set to hit Philippines less than a week after the last.

Thats crazy, fair play to the old fella.
The tragedy could have been much worse in that village - like im sure it will be along other parts of the coast.

Absolutely devastating in these areas... Is it just me. or does there seem to be more and more natural disasters every year?
Sad, sad stories.....
