When is the Galway hurling final, Portumna v Loughrea? It could be an interesting affair.

Do TG4 plan to show it after the watershed?

Not on until 8th November. They could get 15,000+ at that one.

I heard that O'Mahoney's have withdrawn their appeal. Not sure how true that is. County board needs a good shake up to be honest.

Would the leinster championship have played a part? I'd say at this stage the two finalist wouldn't have been to concerned about it but the county board would have been. Good news either way i suppose.

They won All-Ireland Junior in 2004. Don't think they progressed in Intermediate.

They came from Junior in 2003 to be Meath Senior champions in 2006.

That's impressive. Am I right that it's a very rural Irish speaking community outside Navan? I think I was in it many years ago.
Thats correct Zap.  The Meath Gaeltacht is the smallest Gaeltacht area in the country and consists of two adjacent villages of Rath Cairn and Baile Ghib.

Wolfe Tones take in Baile Ghib which is about 4 miles north of Navan, Rath Cairn play with Clann na nGael which is an amalgamation of their Gaeltacht club with nearby Athboy. Graham Geraghty joined Clann na nGael from his original club Seneschalstown. Rath Cairn and Baile Ghib would be 10miles apart as the crow flies.

From the paper

O'Mahonys initially decided to object to the Leinster Council over Corrigan's participation in the replay but reversed the decision following a meeting with the players. A statement issued suggests "the players do not wish to tarnish the reputation of the club which has a proud tradition of winning Keegan Cup titles on the pitch".
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016
