\Wonder why is it that Mayo or Galway clubs never seem to be in the preliminary round?

Has to be, no other reasonable explanation.

Shouldn't be that way, 9 times in 11 years our reps have played the opening round, once for the Mayo ones IIRC. Two years ago ye won the Mayo final the week before our final, and when Tourlestrane won that they played Carrick a week later and won. And then had to wait a whole month for the semi. Two weeks max, gives time for a replay if needed.

can one of the roscommon posters tell me the time and venue for the intermediate final between
St Dominics and St Croans, thanks

Rossfan

I would hazard an uneducated and totally pesonal opinion of a guess that it will form a double header with the Senior in the Hyde on 27th.

I heard that Corofin lost the first round of the Championship to Michael Breathnachs?
If thats true, and it was straight knock-out, why were they let back in?
Or is there a back door system for all teams?

tyronefan

thanks Ross

would you post it when it is confirmed

Duine Eile

There's a qualifier round after the preliminary round for all teams that lose their first game Abbeysider, there's also an odd number of teams in the qualifier round so one team gets a bye and Corofin were the lucky losers this year so got into the first round proper without playing a qualifier game.

It's 61 years since Kilcoo were in a Down SFC final and about 75 since they won it.

Are there any other clubs trying to end such a famine?

aye, every club in Armagh :P

Kildare are only at the quarter-final stage this week-end

Clane v Celbridge
Sarsfields v Suncroft
Moorfield v Leixlip
St Laurances v Athy

Does anyone know the dates for the Dublin SFC and SHC Semi-finals and Finals? I know the football quarter finals are this week.

Also any other county final dates

Croí na hÉireann

I doubt they've been fixed yet as you said the football quarter finals are this week and the hurling is still in the group stage AFAIK

Longford final was last weekend, very enteraining gmae between Clonguish and Dromard, which ended in a draw which was a very fair result. Replay will be on 27th.
