Yellow Card Sufficent  :o

Add this to the Sexton and Jennings farce last year and the Magners League really has issues....

Interesting call. Not really a get up our high horse case really is it?
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

yea sure head-butts are part of the game and even a yellow card is harsh....

No One mentioned a high horse Gnevin. It was a simple post to show that the GAA aren't the only ones with disciplinary problems.

QuoteThe Welsh Rugby Union Professional Disciplinary Panel decided on Tuesday that the sin bin was sufficient punishment for the offence

Maybe this is the way for the Gaa to go. An Ulster panel could rule on Tyrone annual misdemeanors while Frank Murphy could rule on Paul Galvin's frequent carpetings.

It would save them all those trips to Dublin.

I see that Thomas goes in head first, way over the loose ball but I don't see what his head made contact with, if anything.
Is that video clip, evidence of head butting?

£180 grand a year, bloody hell, how can the GAA and GPA compete with that?

Can see the irish lad being on that, certainly not the provincial contracts!!

There are other angles but that's the only one I that I could source but he connected with Shane Horgan but Shane being a Meath man doesn't make a meal of it, there was also the wreckless use of the boot....

In fairness he's a pretty sh*t loose head so it's probably to the Scarlets detriment that he plays....

The underlying issue is that as Muppet indicates is that each country governs it's own players resulting in ridiculous decisions and soft suspensions, they need a central discipline committe to govern all games and citations.

I see Scarlets club have taken a slightly stronger action.

Scarlets head coach Nigel Davies said: "As a decision, this (the WRU disciplinary verdict) is a welcome outcome for us as a group going forward. However, ill-discipline is something that we simply will not tolerate. We have spoken to Rhys and have taken internal disciplinary action which includes not selecting him this weekend for the game against Glasgow.

"As I said after the Leinster game, we will continue to emphasise the importance of being a disciplined side — these kind of incidents are unacceptable and they can cost you games.

"It was disappointing, but we have dealt with this."

Thomas signed for the Scarlets from the Dragons in the summer in a deal reported to be worth in the region of £180,000 a year.
