My PC won't write to cds for some reason.

always gives me "there was an error in the writing process" message and throws up old files that i previously tried to transfer to cd as waiting to be written.

Is there any way to "reboot" the driver or any suggestions as to what i could do?

cheers in advance lads...

Try burning at a lower speed...

What copying software are you using?  Why dont you try different software?

With the window popping up saying that you have files waiting to be written to CD it seems as though you were trying to use Windows itself for the Burning.
Use the software on the computer for burning the CD.
It might be called some of the following

Easy CD Creator
RecordNow
Nero

What make of computer have you?

Have you went down through the list of programs to see if anything mentions CD burning or copying?

Google InfraRecorder.  Install it and that should be able to burn anything you want   :)
