Na Glinntí Glasa

Always felt that the top Derry clubs would add something to our leagues, and maybe help the Derry clubs along the way.

The Down teams have done well over the years in our leagues.

Its worth a try to see if it would work.

The Tain Ulster league was played very early on in the season and served its purpose of pre season friendlies.

No matter what you put in place it will always need to overlap with the intercounty championships and you'll have the same problems with teams having to field without 6 or 7 of their top players.

Prior to the CR, etc there was only 1 or 2 games in an Ulster championship and then an AI quarter final game. That was the height of it.

County teams play a lot more now which grates on me when I hear so called journalists saying so and so won't be playing again until 2027.

Waterford would have been out already in the old system and no one would have batted an eyelid.

I as just thinking about having it fo the teams, minus their county players.  The current county leagues (without county players) seem stale enough in every county. Like challnge games in a way.

Be good to freshen things up a bit and play different teams from different counties. I think it would work.

I couldn't see it being popular. You already hear some people give off about the long trips down to the Ards Peninsula.

Need to be proactive rather than 'can't do' mindset.

Dunloy to Swatragh or SN would take just over 30mins.
