Didn't get to it but the Ulster Intermediate is not easy won. Its a lot more competitive than Senior. The year we won it went to penalties. Oisins didnt have an easy run into the game either which has to have hobbled them a bit.
Carrickmore surely the favourites now? Big physical outfit from what I seen on the team photo.
I would say so, and can hurl from the short clips I saw anyway.
Always seem to be there, there abouts. Maybe they'll go one step further this year.

Would there be many ulster teams win the intermediate? I would think big ask to win another game never mind two.

Carey got pumped in the semis last year but they ended up playing a team who had a handful of players who had won Cork senior with the Imokilly regional team. Was it intermediate that Creggan won?

Rossa, only have won, Middleton Armagh have also I think

Middletown beat in 2012 final, never actually won it.

I think it was junior.

Did you not get St Galls to a final of the intermediate hurling?

NorthAntrimSaff

Quite a blow for the hurling team with 2 X Elliotts and Campbell out. Ciaran Johnston back along with Shea Shannon, Donal Nugent and Ryan McNulty.

I did, but we were well taken by a Mick Kavanagh Kilkenny team ffs..

Trying to blot that out lol

Article didn't say. Ciaran Johnston would be a welcome addition to the backline. Shannon a good squad player. Dont think McNulty is anywhere near county level. Nugent could play? Very very good under the high ball and has showed well as a good shot stopper

Glenariff played to their strengths in the first half. A lot of fast ball towards the forwards, playing summer hurling in winter conditions which they were unable to sustain as Carrickmore gradually came back into the match.

Carrickmore obviously regrouped at half time and the match became a tad more physical with the physically stronger Tyrone men coming out on top in a lot of the rucks.

Obviously Glenariff had a lot of their minor lads from the past couple of years making their way onto their team and a year in Division 1 coupled with playing senior championship will do them no harm at all next year.

I'm not getting ahead of myself, but the winners of Ulster, be that S'neil or the Johhnies will meet Loughrea in the semifinal, avoiding the harder side of the draw (in my view)

Loughrea are no push overs and have been a steady team in Galway for many years, but unlike St Thomas's haven't got over the line, reaching one final only, after a semi final win v Cushendall..

Best opportunity for both teams and anything can happen in a final.. BTW Loughrea are happy enough with the side of the draw also

For good it seems. I know ive spoken to the lads and they have done their part for the county and want to throw their lot in with club.

I dont fault any of the three of them stepping away. They all gave their part when it was asked and now want to take a break and go play club now.
