Still need to beat Laois I'm guessing ?
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Around the glens

Probably still need to beat laois.

Took the shackles off and looked better. Let the lads play!

Definitely something to build on. A lot of heart and fight shown to claw a deficit back away from home. Probably could have won it. Remember Carlow beat Waterford at home!

Fair play to all involved. Makes the Laois game very interesting.

Upandover

Should switch the laois game to corrigan, smaller pitch, the home ground.

The Carlow black card for the last ten mins was a big boost, we should always be competitive against Carlow & can hopefully beat Laois to stay up

Hurling leagues due to start on 13th April now.

Laois game was always going to be crucial and so it has proved.

It will be a tough game but I don't think we can afford to be relegated. Other years I would have thought we might have been better placed to bounce back, but I don't think we are in that place now.

I think in that division you would put money on us to get up. For me if we're relegated it just feels like a massive step backwards. If we do we'll just end up being a yo yo team for years or until they restructure the leagues again. Even if we don't there's also that chance.

I was at the game in Carlow.  Decent first half but how we finished the game was excellent.  Yeah, they had a man less from around the 59th minute but Antrim were well on top before that.  It was a tweak in the system Davy had been using in recent times.  He didnt start with a sweeper but when Carlow brought a man back, we matched them - more so in the first half.
Second half we played with more forwards - bizarre statement I know but there was three inside forwards, allbeit they were narrow and plenty breaking from midfield.  It was very, very similar to what we have seen under Darren Gleeson to be honest.
If we play with that kind of energy against Laois, we'll be safe.  I'm very confident in saying that after witnessing the second half.

Laois still have a game against Carlow to play and with Antrim and Carlow drawing score difference may come into play if Antrim beat Laois and then Laois go onto beat Carlow.

If Carlow don't beat either Dublin or Laois they are back in the relegation mix along with Antrim for the second last spot.

What I'm saying is that Antrim can beat Laois and still get relegated, current score difference isn't in Antrims favour.

Carlow still have Westmeath at home though which you would think they will win, though it's no gimme.

Never much between Carlow, Antrim, Westmeath & Laois.
