Glenariffe have minor final next week but surely it could be refixed for Sunday or possibly next Friday evening. Just maybe a few logistics to sort.

Must be 5/6 minors on that senior panel.

It's not that many, two maybe
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

I can only think of 2 as well.

Monday be decent as whoever wins still have close to the two weeks preparation for the final.

I stand corrected. I thought then was more.

Big shock with a johnnies victory. Didn't see that coming. Fair play to them.

People calling this a shock?

It's been on the cards this past few years. Cushendall have robbed St John's on more than one occasion in semi finals so it's about time they finally got the job done.

To be honest Cushendall should have been down to 13 players and it more difficult for them.

Young Bradley carried the flag for the Dall throughout the game with a great display.

St John's deserved the win in extra time.

Cushendall players hit on the head 4 times. Including 1 player hit on the head off the ball. A point that both umpires called over the bar overruled by a linesman. Ref indicated 3 mins of injury time at the end of normal time, then played 4 mins in which St. John's got the 2 points to force extra time. Officials an absolute disgrace.

These things tend to even themselves out.

A linesman overruling umpires is hardly a big shock, far better view in most cases

This has not been surprising this year to be honest. Rossa had the chance to beat Cushendall first game out. They beat Carey who aren't at this level then were very poor v Loughgiel. A team who normally come into form this time of the year. The older players are getting older and they are relying on a lot of minors!

Blaming referees and officials doesn't change the result. Every game has tough calls and moments that go either way — that's sport. What is disgraceful is a supporter from your own club striking the referee after the match. That crosses every line and undermines the game we all love. Time to take responsibility instead of throwing stones.

Will, with St. John's in final now, make any difference to the venue for the final?

Cushendall will always be there or thereabouts in senior hurling. Good boost for St. John's. Should have beat Cushendall a few years ago in Dunloy iirc. Had the game won then there was a melee with a few minutes to go in normal time and C'dall got a few scores to make it a drawn game.

Is D. Nugent now their keeper?

Dunloy and Loughgiel, although both in s/f, will be happy with that result.

Will the final be in Ballycastle or do St John's get a home tie ?

Watched online and it seemed the extra man just gave St John's enough to get over the line. Fair play to them after so many close runs in recent years, especially against Cushendall.
Jerome & McIntosh did seem to think it was a questionable score that forced extra time but no footage to verify unfortunately.
I'm not sure what McManus got a red for but the commentators & viewers no doubt all thought it would be the end of Eoghan Campbells day for a reaction that was on camera. And the ref didn't seem to be in any way biased, in fact it was the linesman who reported McManus.
Overall St John's probably deserved it, if not for the performance yesterday but as reward for continuing close calls at this stage over 10years or so.
