Portaferry will be the bigger test for them.

No longer the team they were. You're right, they're better. You boys haven't a clue

Boys meaning plural?

I'm not sure anyone that I know was saying this was a gimme

When asked last night on tv he certainly didn't rule it out. I think Neil will rule himself out.

Yeah can't see it

Yeah can't see it

He'll be extending his club career by staying away from the county.

Scored 1-7 in the first half 2-2 in the second. He was in full back midfield and full forward.

It takes a serious toll on your body I can imagine. He's been a huge servant for Antrim and his club, owes nowt.

Very impressed with McGuigan last night for S'neil, for these lads to perform like that while primarily playing football all season shows what Derry hurling lose due to these lads sticking with football.

In fairness that's been like that for as long as I can remember

Surely the final will be on the Whiterock Road ?

Armagh to host the senior final no? Thought it was mentioned last night... maybe not.

I see Derry representatives have made the Ulster finals at junior, intermediate and senior.

Something doesn't sit quite right with the junior and intermediate representatives. Like Ballinascreen played in the intermediate Ulster last year and this year they are junior.

Ballinscreen won the Ulster Junior at a canter really across all 3 games.  Ballela seemed to push them slightly closer than anyone else but They seemed very comfortable today and even complacent at times too.  At one point in the second half they tried to work a 21 yard free short to work a goal when they were 15 points up.  Even at the presentation afterwards there didn't appear to be too much emotion shown.  They're possibly thinking about further down the line.

Super game at the weekend, Cdall still will be wondering how they managed to throw it away after getting back into it.

Credit to SN they kept going and actually played some really good hurling, Cdall couldn't loved with the pace and power and directness.

Forwards have been hard to come by for Cdall for a good few years now, plenty of really quality backs but very few quality score getters.

Game of the weekend hurling wise for sure.

Would be surprised if they are. The only reason they got back into it was because McManus was in superman mode. They didn't throw it away either. SN reset and took it away from them again, and reasserted the fact that they were comfortably a superior team throughout.

Yeah better team, by a good bit, won. They usually have enough in defense to cover themselves in forwards but the likes of Campbell not getting into it made them struggle.

You wonder how many years has McManus left in him.

Having got back into it with the flukes goal at the end, I can guarantee you they thought they were winning it in ET.

Better team won for sure, but I think the lack of control on the sideline definitely cost Cdall as well.

Was very noticeable (and notable) who the respective management teams turned to on the bench come crunch time. SN were looking to the likes of Cathal McKaigue who will be around for years to come. The Dall were looking to the likes of Delargy and McNaughton who, with all due respect, aren't really in the ideal condition to be playing senior hurling.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know wtf was going on with Alex Delargy's sleeves?! Under armour shortage about the place?

Kidder81

Yeah Cushendall didn't throw it away, beaten by a more mobile, fitter and athletic team. Cushendall can usually overpower teams, it was fairly obvious from early on that wasn't going to be the case
