Who's in and who's out. Can't keep up with the rumours.

Typical Celtic Board transfer window, like the last few.

Haven't spent anything. Loans.

RadioGAAGAA

To be fair - a loan with a guaranteed buy price at the end is the best option.

- Bluffers can be sent back to parent club at end of deal, off the wage bill
- No wasted transfer fees on duds
- They're very incentivised to hit the ground running

Celtic have signed Austria striker Junior Adamu from Bundesliga club Freiburg, Brentford centre-half Benjamin Arthur and Lorient winger Joel Mvuka, all on loan to the end of the season. Added to the earlier signings of striker Tomas Cvancara and right-back Julian Araujo
Ryan Naderi becomes Rangers' fourth signing of the January transfer window following the arrival of winger Andreas Skov Olsen on loan from Wolfsburg, midfielder Tochi Chukwuani from Sturm Graz and defender Tuur Rommens from Westerlo.
League leaders Hearts signed four players - forwards Rogers Mato and Islam Chesnokov, loan midfielder Marc Leonard and full-back Jordi Altena.

All three clubs have signed players no one has heard of before, but we will all believe are brilliant until proven otherwise. Celtic needed to throw the dice to get someone in, in the hope that they can stick the ball in the net. They also recognised the need for a right back earlier in the window.
Rangers have replaced players bought in previous windows with new ones in the hope (expectation?) that they will be better than the last lot. As a Celtic fan I hope it works out like previous attempts, and they are all a bunch of duds.
Hearts have probably used an algorithm to select their players, best hope is it disrupts the squad, and they fall apart during the run in.

Can Rangers afford the new players?

Rangers have ditched a few so maybe they managed to keep it neutral on the wage bill. The fees paid by all the teams seem to be relatively small so at a guess they are all operating within budget.

What's the new owners providing for them?

Im thinking this is probably just where Celtic are at now. It's no financial loss if these boys come in and are shite. I am worried that your man is going to take the hump now for not getting his big move to Forest. Celtic were never going to win that. Sell him and we are giving off that no one was brought it. Keep him and we are giving off that we didn't take the money.

Loan signings, some with an option to buy, make good sense especially seeing that a new manager is likely next season.
Of the first 2 loan signings, Araujo is a revelation at this standard, he's technically excellent, he oozes confidence and football nous. Tomas the Czech has made a good start and looks ambitious. I see  a mate of Tounekti has been signed, yet another acclaimed 'wizard of the wing' (right side),lets hope it's not  a case of Tweedledum on the left and Tweedledee on the right.
I switched on to Celtic v Falkirk after ht and even at 2 nil there was a good deal of anxiety in the deathly silence of Celtic Park, on comes Tounekti and the hazard danger levels increased dramatically with his first 'play'. But a strange thing happened later in that he got past his marker on the wing (is that a first)  and a bit after that he put a good low cross into the box. Possibly he's not an absolute lost cause just yet unlike Balikwisha plus the recently departed Yamada and Inamura.
GBP20m + 5m for Ingels was a steal (for Celtic) but I'd say it was MO'N's decision to make and the board did not want to píss the savior off. From MO'N's perspective, considering Bernardo has tanked, Hatate mostly uninspired, Nygryn an ace goalscorer who on a good day at best fills space in midfield, Engils and McGregor are all he has to input some gravitas into midfield.

Best transfer window...since the last one...and the one before that.  ::)

Martin O'Neill has to earn his corn now in terms of getting them new lads up to speed and ready for action. No btter man but he's nota miracle worker.

At least, new players in the door. The Mexican lad at right back is very good imo. Should start over Johnston.

The big lad, when up to speed, should bang in a few goals. He's direct and not really a 'holder upper' at centre forward. Should do well at Celtic...if his head is right and doesn't fall out with team mates etc.

The lad Artur at centre back hasn't played that many games so we'll see. Another project player. Time will tell.

With the title on the line, Celtic should have spent £20m to get 3 quality players in to win league. That's all it would have took. 3 teams even enough but 3 quality players would win it comfortably.

This transfer window, once again, is a statement of a lack of intent. Spend £20m now, win league, then buy a few more in summer (offload Engels, Hatate and Maeda) and qualify for Champions League again via qualifier. Get the £60m paybck in Champion League group stages. Huge profit made.

Board can't see the trees for the wood and hence the f'%k up in this years Champions League qualifier...and in many previous years.

Johnston is out most probably for the season so I guess the excellent Araujo will start ahead of him this season, pity there is no option to buy.

Hearts drop 3 points against St. Mirren, it's tough at the top  :)
