Kasper Schmeichel signs on one year deal. Need to start filling other gaps in the squad.

From the Bunker

Kasper is a good signing. Has plenty of International experience.
One year deal, buys time to find or develop a Keeper.

Ironically he is older than Joe Hart!

we have also signed a Finnish keeper so it gives him time to develop

Christian Erikson would be a good fit for Scottish football. Not sure what his wages are though.

Brilliant PL/CL level signing and at 37 there's no reason why he couldn't do 2 or 3 years if he's feeling fresh and still has the hunger. Remember Van Der Sar played for MU from age 34-41, the Fulham years was complete twilight zone stuff, he should never have been there and for so long. It was absolute lunacy that Leicester let Schmeichel him go and it backfired as they were relegated at the end of that season.

Don't underestimate the value of signing a proven captain too, that should help set and maintain standards. I always remember someone saying to me that the UEFA Cup final team of 2004 had 6 or 7 international captains starting, when you think about it, a team like that wouldn't take much managing.

I think KS was Denmark's POTY about 4 times in the last 8/10 years.

A decent goalie will save Celtic points in Scotland but a real quality keeper will keep a load of clean sheets.

Need to add more quality to the panel now. A few lads shipped out - got £2m profit on Oh I think. Good bit of business there. Need more lads shipped out and tighten the wage bill.

I thought Oh was decent, a bit raw obviously but had potential.

I apologise in advance for being completely pedantic here but panel = GAA and squad = soccer ;D

1st August and no outfield players bought.  League starts this week-end.

One left back, centre-back (as Scales is not good enough imo) and one striker. FFS.

Good chance O'Riley will move on also.

Takes the Board 2 months to sign two players who were at Celtic on loan last season...and they still can't do that.

Huns in disarray and Nicholson and Lawell are up to their usual antics. Celtic shouldbehammering the nail in now big time.

Disappointing but not unexpected.

Does seem strange, due diligence doesn't seem likely, tightness does.

Hoping to take my 2 lads to a European night in the Autumn, might have to engage your mystical ticket sourcing skills Jim
