well

Trying to take an old blaupunkt radio out of my car. I have the U-shaped things to fit into the two holes either side but can't seem to get it out. Is there anything else I should be doing with it?

Tried to find car forums could't find any decent looking ones

Thanks

Give it a good pulling.....

after that go back out to the car and try to get the radio out again

The U shaped things are used to depress springs/tabs that are keeping the stereo unit in place.  I can never remember which way you maneuver them but insert them in slowly until you feel the U shaped thing depress the spring/tab.  Leave the 1st U shaped thing in place and do the other side.

Then I'm afraid it is brute force when pulling the stereo unit out.

Good luck.

Sound, I'll give that a go so.

Another car question.
I'm heading to Dublin next friday with the wife.
I am currently a 'restricted' driver in the north.
Where do I stand as regards speed limits once I cross the border?
Am I allowed to remove the 'R' plates or would I still be required to drive below 45 mph?
Any help is appreciated.

Flan, as long as you keep to the speedlimits, the Guards won't bother you.

The only concern is whether your insurance will be valid t but I take it that you are not planning to have an acciden.  You should check this out.
