It's repeated on Friday at 8pm. it was good... very short tho.
Tickets secured for Cork and am organising travel. Train return is £65  go Friday back on Sunday. Fly is £160... about £100 difference. Flights one hour from Belfast  train five... ok about going down but long haul back up. Anyway... 'we've got the power and the glory, we're going to take it from here......'

Aiken Promotions regret to announce...

Horslips "Live at the Marquee" has been Cancelled

Horslips June 26th Concert in Cork - part of Aiken Promotions "Live At The Marquee" series - has been cancelled due to the sudden illness of flautist and keyboard player Jim Lockhart.

Though Jim is expected to make a full recovery, doctors have advised him he will not be in a position to play any gigs before Autumn and the current Live At The Marquee series finishes up at the start of August - after the Mamma Mia run.

Tickets will be refunded through point of purchase.

"We're aware of the inconvenience caused and obviously tickets will be refunded and though we're personally gutted at what has happened we're delighted that Jim is on his way to a full recovery." says bass player Barry Devlin.

Sad news, but glad to hear that full recovery is expected. The Cork weekend didn't quite suit me, hopefully there will now be more gigs in the Autumn. Were pre Xmas gigs mooted again?
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Shamrock Shore

There had been no mention of any pre-Christmas gigs as far as I am aware. I suppose it's all up to a promoter to make an offer.

Jim Lockhart is at home resting so the prognosis is good. A auld belt of the ticker from what I gather.

longrunsthefox

Absolutey gutted and was so looking forward to going. But will get over it. Best wishes to Jim Lockhard and hopefully the Horslips will be back on stage before the end of the year.  If they are and it is in Ireland the Fox will endevour to be there. "We got the power and the glory..."

Yes - that's the main thing to be sure.
