I really hope those Down supporters who think Ross Carr should get another year take a look at this thread to see how badly we are rated. No way would we have been rated this low under any other manager in our history. Ross has made a mess off our county team and we deserve our low rating under his management.

well whats peoples order now? Mine would be something like this:

Tyrone

Donegal
Derry/Antrim

Fermanagh/Monaghan

Down
Armagh
Cavan

phhfffffffffffffftt!

???

phffffffffffffft - fart noise. i realise Armagh have had a bad year but are still better than Down, Cavan and Fermanagh at least. Antrim are in a false position for me but thats neither here nor there.

IMHO there is probably 3 tiers in Ulster football at the minute

1st off Tyrone is probably a little ahead of the rest

then in the next tier you would have

Derry
Monaghan
Armagh
Donegal

Either of these teams is capable of beating each other on any given day

Then you would have

Antrim
Down
Fermanagh
Cavan

Like above, they are all capable of beating each other

Antrim is having a great year but if they were to meet Donegal again I think Donegal would beat them

Hard to disagree with that.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

tyronefan

let me put it another way

I think Donegal would beat Antrim 9 times out of 10

Trevor Hill

Tyrone are undoubtedly the No.1 team in Ulster.
I dont think there is a lot between any of the other 8 teams, in fact most of the other teams are capable of beating each other. Donegal proved this on Saturday night beating a highly fancied Derry.  I cannot figure out why anyone rates Monaghan so highly, they have won nothing, they will win nothing and they are harder to watch than Armagh ever were.
Most improved team of the year goes to Antrim, with Armagh being the team to fall furthest in 2009.

HS Antrim were very very lucky to beat Donegal.

Trevor Hill

Yes they did, but Donegal had more than enough chances to win the game. As someone else said Donegal would beat Antrim 9 times out of 10.

tyronefan

and fair play to Antrim

it was great to see it  ;)

Trevor Hill

It was a great result and everyone outside of Donegal was delighted, but I was more delighted by Donegals win on Saturday.

The order hasn't changed at all.

I would prefer it if Armagh were at the bottom, but we cant change history.

As Lynchbhoy will tell you - History has hung up his boots. He was great in his day but is past it now.

He was obviously refering to Armagh then?  ;)

Ok my attempt at the new order in Ulster

Tyrone

Derry
Monaghan
Armagh
Donegal
Antrim
Fermanagh
