Knock Yer Mucker In

watched the first four episodes of Mobland, no complaints-Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren excellent.

Do people actually watch and endure TV series they don't enjoy? Whatever about sticking out for end of season 1 but then ploughing on with further seasons.

I'd have several "continue to watch" series sitting that I know I'll never go back to. Yellowjackets was one, Walking Dead was another (mid way through seasons) but did watch some of the recent spin offs and enjoyed them.

I abandoned Yellowstone pretty quickly.

Handmaid's Tale too I long since gave up on.

Milltown Row2

Lost would have fallen into that bracket for many also, though I did stick it out..

I've a few like that that I didn't bother going back to, Handmaids Tale being one of them, she's also in another one on Apple I haven't got back into and maybe its her lol..

Two seasons should be the max for a lot of shows, I can understand the likes of The Game of Thrones (Which I haven't watched) can be long and the Viking series (loved them) which can cover a lot, but even great shows like Breaking Bad had a few episodes which didn't bring anything to the overall story

The most annoying though is when they (mainly Netflix) scrap a show, they should at the very least have a concluding part filmed to end/close off the loose ends
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Got to season 4. What put me off was it being essentially the same story arc every season.

Outsiders want to build a casino on the ranch.
Then next season it was an airport.

Didn't get watching season 5. The spinoffs are great though.

There was a horror series from the same producers of Lost that I enjoyed called From, about people who get stuck in a remote town they can't get out of, and fairly gruesome monsters attack at night. I gave Yellowjackets another go, and thought the later half of latest season was very good, but there's only so much more mileage they can get from that show. Has a strong cast however.

I can't quit a show once I start. Been some shows over the years I have continued with even though they became dung, such as TWD, FTWD, The 100, Hannibal, Peaky Blinders, Falling Skies, Mayans and From.

SoA another one I escaped from, albeit long after I should have. Belfast and the 'Ra should have been a big enough hint that it was time to go.

I enjoyed sons. That said, the Belfast episodes are best avoided

I've a horrible habit of not finishing a show, getting to a couple episodes from the end and then saving them for a rainy day. Drives the Mrs insane. Took me maybe 2 years to finish breaking bad with the last 3 episodes.

Started Yellowjackets - good so far

Mobland - good so far, yet to kick into great territory. Helen Mirren who was once my older lady crush (I met her in the airport here as she lives in Tahoe and I could only mumble out "Is it really you"?) is playing her role with aplomb. Nice to actually hear Tom Hardy in this show, couldn't understand a word he said in Peaky Blinders.

The Residence - whimsical and enjoyable.

Still hard to beat a good Poirot episode to doze in the recliner to.

Have binned more series than I can remember. No point flogging a dead horse. The missus watched Severance til the end recently but I totally disengaged from it midway through this most recent season.

Better Call Saul is the one I need to return to. Checked Netflix the other day and I seem to have abandoned it at s3e9.

BCS a proper thoughtful slow burner but the pace picks up a lot when Lalo gets involved in S4. He's one of the best characters on TV.

The Terminal List (2022) is a good show. Rewatching that at the moment

I enjoyed that. Meant to be a season 2 but still no sign of it.
