I do think it's eventually going to have to come down to that yes, either that or bend over and let him give it to us right?

Military action should be the absolute last option. You only have to look at Iraq and Afghanistan to realise how difficult it is to get out after such action. The UK's armed forces are stretched enough without adding that destination, both in terms of manpower and equipment. Finally, to blindly follow any US military action would be a huge mistake, although, I can't see Obama going in, in the same way as the "shrub" would have.

Regime change from within (or on the cheap) is what USA and Uk are thinking id guess. Plenty of oil to be had with people they can do business with.

Isn't it funny that the BBC has only recently set up in Iran and this is starting to happen. No doubt the Brits have a hand in causing this uprising. The best way to bring a country to its knees is by causing unrest within it. They are very sneaky you know.

The problem with wars is that someone has to pay for them and it is usually the losers.

Cromwell paid for his war in Ireland by seizing the land off the locals and giving it to those who had funded his war.

There is at least some evidence that the Bush/Cheney administration awarded contracts 'rebuilding' Iraq to certain vested interests to the detriment of local Iraqi interests.

The same would happen in Iran. Regardless of how good the intentions are, Iranians would end up paying for the war.
