Was supposed to go down with the Cuchulainn U-14s but cant make it now, anyone with access to results, if they could post them on here it would be very welcome. Possibility I could make a trip down Sunday if we're in the final so any updates would be grateful.

st Judes? i've played your sevens competition 3 times with our second team, we had the best craic and it's a well run competition.

is this a big deal for your club to be in this? Ballyboden and the Crokes usually the main teams at this level?

Cheers, yeah the lads over this have their house in order. Its a big job working out the logistics of this, having to deal with Croke Park, then every respective county board before being able to go ahead and run it.  As regards being in it - I presume you mean to partake in it? - yes, its a big deal. I played in the hurling one for several years. It was always seen as an honour to make the club's team in our own tournament. Once our first team went senior and were ineligible for it, meaning we had to pick from our junior B's, we weren't so competitive anymore. The football are always pretty strong. Theres a big pick in the club though so the 2nd and 3rd teams would have lots of decent players.

The tournament itself looked to be dying a slow death there for a while. Interest seemed to be waning, mostly because we weren't getting the marque names we once had. It seems on the up again. though. A fresh sponsorship injection will always have that effect.

Happy to hear you enjoyed your experiences of it.
