RTE Player
« on: June 18, 2009, 02:50:05 PM »
What is the story with this? Island of Ireland only?

Whereas the following give me;

BBC iPlayer: Full championship matches for a week after they are played
                 Films
                 American dramas

Channel 4 Player: American sitcoms

TV3 Player: Championship matches
                 Highlight shows
                 Soaps

TG4 Player: NFL
                 NHL

Granted I dont watch soaps but more a means of highlighting what I would have thought would have rights infringements, can understand why RTE Player cant show programmes like pride of the parish or the panel even, seems ridiculous to me (just want til watch the sunday game some evening during the week)

Is it not to do with RTE selling the rights outside of Ireland to Setanta?  Think that includes the Sunday Game.
