Belfast could turn that into a good marathon if they made a few tweaks. There was hardly any toilets at the start line, mile markers were missing at some points, drink stations were tiny etc. Support was brilliant though. That point at the Ormeau road is like the Tour de France with people lined both sides scream support. Really enjoyed that run today!
Couldn't believe it when I saw you had run on Strava.
Great run and time. Two Marathons in a week is some going.
Amazing the difference the heat can make to pace.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Definitely not my best idea but glad I got home safe and sound and hopefully injury free. Bit of time off now and then I'll start planning my races for the year in the build up to Chicago.
I've a child on the way next week so that's going to put the cat amongst the pigeons 😂

Yeah a few tweaks and it could be a lot better, certainly the toilet situation needs addressed, not that I needed it but they were few and far between along the route..

Need to address the relay teams, they should have a bay that they run into, away from the road, like a pit area, but as they merge into the race it needs to be on a bigger patch of road as the feckers are like antelopes dashing through the crowd..

Another one, and I'm sure they do it elsewhere is you have your estimated time and that's your zone to start in, they did in Amsterdam when I was there, cuts out the, what felt like walkers in the first mile or two of the race.

Too many narrow parts through parks also, which clogged up things and even seen some fallers, the energy sapping 18 stage hill needs to go lol!

The last thing would be to construct a viewing platform at the finish line as many people couldn't see their loved ones crossing the line at the end, as it was ten deep.

Other than that it's grand lol!

Yes the Ormeau road was like a tour de France stage! Looking back that final split on times was quick lol..

Well supported in most places, I suppose the weather made it, and if London was warmer than that then it would be sapping your energy..
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.
