What is the best intercounty point you've seen?

For me it's Eoin Quiqley's wonderpoint for Wexford against Kilkenny in 2005

Roashter

impossible to pick one here,

Just for the sheer power -Diarmuid O'Sullivans massive point against Limerick in Pairc Ui Chaoimh (don't know the year)

For pressure -Jamsie O'Connors winning point in '97 All-Ireland final

What about David Franks point against Waterford in the qualifiers last year (I know im a bit biased but is still a genuine contender!!)

He dispossed Waterford soloed up half the pitch and stuck it over the bar...definately the best point ever scored by a corner back in all ireland championship history...actually just thinking about it is there another corner back that has scored a point in the championship??

NAG1

OM that wasnt the best point ever scored, nice stylish point but not near the best.

Defiantly either one of the two above.
I'll never forget Kevin Brodericks point,I was watching the game in Langtons in Kilkenny roaring me head off for Galway as I was with a load of Kilkenny mates of mine  :D

Some of you are completely mssing the idea of this. To be the greatest point of all time - it only counts if its in a tight game when the pressure is at its zenith. The likes of quigley's, the rock and DJ's points are all great scores but none of them were at the business end of  a tight game.
Ciaran Carey's by a mile. Brodericks probably next. But you couldn't beat Carey's - for skill, power, pace, drama and and then the pressure was its zenith. Unbelievable score.

Carey's was brilliant no doubt about that - but IMHO DJ's was pure skill, poetry in motion, AI final -

But everybody has a different opinion.

Wasn't there one that DJ scored whilst almost lying on the ground under the Cusack stand against Galway around 2001 ???

Corcoran's first game back after he came out of retirement, he was subbed on against Limerick when Cork were struggling, he got the ball, slipped and scored a massive point from on his knees. That was some point.

The other one people haven't mentioned  is one of the greatest team points of all time. Eddie probably won't want to be reminded of it. But in 1991 the leinster final was 2 mins into injury time and wexford were point up and kilkenny worked the ball up the pitch in a series of diagonal passes before eamonn morrissey delivered the coup de gras. Brilliant score.

I'd go with Ciaran Carey against Clare back in 1996. Unreal.
