Stay away from Tesco's, you wouldn't want to bring down the Republic.

Heineken, Budwieser, Miller and Corona.

What time do Sainsburys start selling alcohol at?

Avoid Newry to many tail backs in car parks.
I went about ten miles further on to the Sprucefield shopping place near Lisburn and there is a Sainsburys there too with no traffic at all hardly..
The drink is very cheap..

Cheers TRL, would traffic be bad mid-week on a Tues or Wed morning?

We went up the north on a tuesday morning,we passed Newry around 9am and traffic was building up,most were Southern reg cars..
There were a few southern reg cars in Sprucefield too but it was a breeze getting in and out of the place.
For the sake of a half an hours drive more I think it be worth it.
Got loads of wine and beer for half nothing,eg 3 bottles of Mateus wine for £10,I think one bottle here is €14, and I got 15cans of Carling for £10 also..

Midweek you're grand Dinny

They restock during the night - so morning time is best - avoid the rush hour morning time though

U can buy it in the morning no probs

I'll ring them and tell them you're coming.

Spuscefield is a right wee drive on up the road if your just looking drink, but I suppose you could call into the outlet on you way up/down and make a day of it.
different beers on offer at different times they were doing a deal not so long ago where you bought 2 packs of 20 beers for £20. thats a snip and considering the value of the Euro you couldn't really do any better.

Cheers Lads, I'll ring in advance so as I'll probably be buying around 30 cases of beer.
