Just appeared on BBC

Tyrone's Niall Gormley will be out of action for several weeks after suffering a broken jaw while playing for his club Trillick on Sunday.
Forward Gormley played in the Red Hands' win over Fermanagh in their last Ulster Championship match but will not face Donegal in the 17 June semi-final.
Manager Mickey Harte has had better news regarding other injuries.
Stephen O'Neill, Joe McMahon and Owen Mulligan are expected to be fully fit for the clash with the league winners.
O'Neill and Mulligan have recovered from hamstring injuries and McMahon's shoulder problem has cleared up.
Tyrone's preparations face disruption with McMahon's absence from training. He is spending the week in France as part of a university course.
There are further worries over possible suspensions.
Gerard Cavlan and Ryan Mellon were both sent off on straight red cards in recent club games, but are hoping that their bans will not exceed four weeks, allowing them to fulfil their county commitments.

KIDDO

Did the ladies win the game in Sligo.

Is that cos he sent off 4 last night - yes that's right 4 - he loves himself, loves the headlines etc. etc

orangeman

It's funny that there weren't 4 men sent off in any other league / championship game this weekend or indeed this month or this year - strange that the Irish News didb't have word of a bloodbath in Galbally then if it was that bad ?

Red Hands pair out of semi-final

Two of Tyrone's most exciting young attackers have been ruled out of the Ulster SFC semi-final clash with Donegal on 17 June.
Tommy McGuigan and Niall Gormley picked up injuries in weekend club games.
McGuigan broke a bone in a wrist while playing for Ardboe against Galbally and Gormley suffered a broken jaw in Trillick's game with Derrylaughan. The pair made their debuts in the first round win over Fermanagh, scoring a combined total of seven points.
Manager Mickey Harte has had better news regarding other injuries.
Stephen O'Neill, Joe McMahon and Owen Mulligan are expected to be fully fit for the showdown with the league winners.

No mention yet of alleged "melee"

orangeman

Sorry Francie /  Hightower - you're wrong again - but we'll wait on Francie's "official" version of events and hopefully Aodhan Harkin will have the sense to keep quiet this time. But Francie will find some way of providing a juicy exclusive.

KIDDO

How did Francie Mooney  manage to get the exclusive story on Gerald Calvins sending off in the Dungannon v Killyclogher  championship match  at Galbally , but yet had no match reports from the 2 tyrone championship matchs played in Galbally , he was unable to be in Galbally last night ,as he was in Dublin covering the big  game at Croke Park. No doubt tomorrow will see 2 match reports from Galbally, despite him not been present for any of the 2 ties , the art of bi location is a great skill , only perfected by the best journalists , Francie been the master of them all.

How long is this going to go on for? Every game Ardboe play, something always happens. It must be them. It's time the county board did something about them. Ban them for a year would be the most appropriate thing.

;D dont rise orangeman, the refereeing in tyrone football is a joke...strutting about thinking the crowd have come to see them, ive heard first hand some of the things they say to players eg. "shut your mouth you cheeky wee c**t i would love a chance to send you off" they are totally ruining the game with there bullshit

orangeman

couldn't agree more devil - they've obviously got bad women at home and have to come out and try to dominate - lol

Yes thats right hardstation its all Ardboes fault, the opposition teams in both incidents are completely innocent and without fault

winsamsoon

I wouldn't be an expert on Tyrone Football but i would guess that it is like most other counties in the sense that County players are singled out for a bit of treatment by the opposition team and in many cases they are well protected by the referees. But I do know that Tyrone football is well renowned for dirty football. I think it is a disgrace to go onto a field to deliberately damage another player. There is nothing wrong with good hard football but some of the injuries coming out of the Tyrone club games at the moment are potentially damaging for life and no doubt a result of vicious challenges. This issue would need to be addressed before it goes any further.
I never forget a face but in your case I will make an exception.
