Was at the eglish ardboe game and was a very good game with some nice football played given the time of year, thought coney would have stood out and teague but couldnt pick them out at all, cooney must have kicked 8 wides himself in the second half, eglish number 8 think hes mckenna was best player on show, seems a real talent, there full back not sure of his name played very well also, eglish were good value for there win

Metro

Minor panel seems to have overlooked a few good players, kieran mcgeary and barry potter as well as ruairi bradley? watz the story with no mcrenolds and munroe?

Eglish were well worth their win last night.Ardboe started well and led 4-1 after 15 minutes but Eglish dominated the rest of the game.Ardboe did have a 5 minute spell midway through the 2nd half but couldn't convert their chances, they must have kicked 6 wides in that time.
Emmet McKenna was outstanding in midfield and the Eglish defence were very good, tackling in numbers and putting our forwards under severe pressure. They will be hard to beat and best of luck to them in the final.

Just the two new faces in the McKenna Cup squad I see - Aidan McCrory from Errigal and Stephen McNally from Coalisland.

Any word if that Under 21 semi final went ahead last night? Would doubt it. Them finals will never be played.

Does anyone agree that Micky Harte's column in the Irish News is the most boring load of tripe that anyone could try to read. If it's not the Aussie rules it's the fecking railway cup. Has his needle stuck?
He would need to talk better than write or I couldn't see how he could motivate anybody, never mind a football team,
