Penalty sums up McShane in the 2nd half. Horrendous half of football. If it was anyone else they'd have been hooked long ago.

In no way did Owen Roes deserve to win that game, kicked themselves out of it with bad passing and shooting, but thought the ref was absolutely shocking towards them

Is the other mcglennon going to make it back? Mattie og can move v well at times

Eglish not as pretty a win compared to last time out - Owen roes left a lot on the table with school boy errors

Mcshane would be doing well to start for a top half table division 1 team at this current rate in my eyes

I met McShan in castlebet in Sion Mills earlier on. He was waving a bet slip saying cert kid certttt.  It was Eglish -6. They got too close for his liking

Heard he stopped in for a pint on the way up. Took a bet that he could kick a ball from Healy park to the millstone. He's away to collect his winnings there

Quote from: Jerome on September 17, 2025, 04:00:56 PMIt's not really fair that all the championship games are being circled around just a few clubs. Hosting championship games is a good revenue stream for clubs, especially small clubs.

The main conditions on selecting a venue for a championship game/games is

1. Location that's fairly central to the teams involved

2. The grounds able to hold and cater for the expected attendance and parking.

Clubs that are fairly central in Tyrone that also have venues with larger capacity's like pomeroy, carrickmore, Dungannon will always get big championship games. Other venues with decent capacity's and also in central locations like Killyclogher, dunmoyle, Loughmacrory, Galbally, Edendork, Donaghmore etc will also be likely venues to host championship games.

I agree that more venues should be used therefore giving clubs the opportunity of taking in revenue. But realistically what other venues other than those usually selected would be suitable to host high attendance championship games like those last weekend?

Quote from: Gaafan2 on September 17, 2025, 10:28:14 PMPlunkett park has the second best facilities in the county for a game and nobody can tell me any different.  State of the art changing rooms, carpet like surface, stand and terraced the whole way around. Name another club outside of omagh that can boast that. For any of you ridiculing pomeroys facilities, you'd need to have a look at your own clubs first. Granted sunday was an awful day but you'd swear Pomeroy was the only place with wind and rain. The conditions in dungannon for the carrickmore v Moortown game were awful. Score wise Dromore v edendork had the second highest total of the senior championship games played. To say carrickmore is a better venue is ridiculous. Granted there may be a good atmosphere but their changing rooms are far too small and their surface is like a swamp at this time of the year.

In terms of parking, location and the new state of the art facilities there's no doubt pomeroy is the best venue (outside of Healy park) in Tyrone. The main problem with pomeroy which they obviously have no control over is the huge factor the weather can have on a game. If someone didn't believe you when you told them pomeroy is the highest pitch in Ireland, they definitely wouldn't doubt it after attending a game in pomeroy on a windy day.

Fintona relegated!
Big shock as I thought they would be too much for Killeshil.
Not good for the club especially the youth players they have coming through in the next couple years

Fintona breach at the end to give away a 2 pointer was a killer - that's happened a few times this year.

Decision to play on the top pitch away from the main pitch in those conditions was also very questionable.

YO!

Why did they play at top pitch.

Junior games today such a poor standard.

ManFromMoygashel

What way does the u16 league work now? Does the top four go into a play off? Has it been this way for a while and I just didnt notice? Used to be two groups in a division.

Also have they had a championship or is it missing off the website?

Eglish vs Owen roes: Eglish- they win the championship imo.
Beragh vs aghaloo: beragh, easy win again for them.
Moy vs rock: rock- going for an upset here, 2 point shootout between Murphy and conroy.
Kildress vs Clonoe: draw- this could be a clinker. Call me mad for this but I can just see it.

You are mad

We are very much up against it tomorrow night but I Believe in our players to put in a big performance.

I see a lot of kids from Kildress have gotten on to the board and are mentioning nonsense footballers which doesn't help creditability.

Will clonoe win? most likely. Are we a proud club that can put it up to them... definitely.

The one thing I would say about our players - no matter what the result is tomorrow we as a club believe in them and the way they have handled themselves over the last 2 years- they are a credit to themselves and to our club.

I wish them all the best tomorrow night! Up The Tones!
