Local Expert now follows their Ladies team instead. He's very disappointed they were beat in the semi final at the weekend.

I'd be surprised if the Fianna didn't end up getting promoted. Clonoe or Eglish will win the championship leaving them having to beat the Moy and then one of Pomeroy or Gortin to get promoted in the play offs. They showed enough v Eglish to suggest they should get the better of any of those teams.

Dungannon by far the best. Can also remember county finals and Tyrone playing Ulster championship games there. Great venue and better now with the stand. Carrickmore good too.
Omagh a soulless kip. Hate the place.
Dungannon a kip of a place to park. Having to walk up that land with 200 potholes in the dark is some craic. Good place for atmosphere though

Quote from: Goals_Will_Come on September 17, 2025, 09:36:29 PMCarrickmore a brilliant venue for games. Real good atmosphere. Personally would bring the Intermediate and Junior finals there as well rather than an empty Healy Park.
I agree coalisland could be better utilised, floodlights now as well. Stewartstown another good venue for Intermediate and Junior games.
Pomeroy should go the way of Edendork and Dunmoyle and be given less and less games. As stated here no one wants to go to Pomeroy to play a championship game.

Whats your club?

Not just play all the games at Croke?

In all seriousness whats the rate for CB to hire for the day, put all first round games in all 3 grades on the hallowed turf back to back to back to back to back to back in one giant celebration of the best Championship in Ireland

Quote from: Gaafan2 on September 17, 2025, 10:28:14 PMPlunkett park has the second best facilities in the county for a game and nobody can tell me any different.  State of the art changing rooms, carpet like surface, stand and terraced the whole way around. Name another club outside of omagh that can boast that. For any of you ridiculing pomeroys facilities, you'd need to have a look at your own clubs first. Granted sunday was an awful day but you'd swear Pomeroy was the only place with wind and rain. The conditions in dungannon for the carrickmore v Moortown game were awful. Score wise Dromore v edendork had the second highest total of the senior championship games played. To say carrickmore is a better venue is ridiculous. Granted there may be a good atmosphere but their changing rooms are far too small and their surface is like a swamp at this time of the year.

Carrickmore is by far better than Pomeroy as is Dungannon, yes Pomeroys facilities are good and much improved but the playing surface isn't much better at all and the horrendous conditions spoil a lot of games which I can see why players hate the venue. Conditions in Dungannon were poor for the Carrickmore & Moortown game but they looked a lot worse for the Omagh & Derrylaughan game in Pomeroy.

Hereiam

Dungannon had a chance to put up nice smart club room building and they ended up building something that was sketched on a post-it note.
As said before the access to the ground is shockin from the castlecaufield road, but the pitch has had a decent upgrade which was badly needed.

You obviously haven't set foot on the pitch. Dimac have been looking after it this past 2 years. There wouldn't be another surface in the county any better at this time of the year. Conditions looked a lot worse for the Omagh game as that's when the weather was at its worst on Sunday, not just in Pomeroy. It eased for the Edendork game!

I have been on them many times and Pomeroy is the least favourite of the 3 venues named. Sorry if you are a Pomeroy person and have took offence as the club has put in a massive amount of work to improve the facilities but as a championship venue as this time of year it is poor.

Match Preview: Kildress v Clonoe – Tyrone Senior Championship

Kildress and Clonoe meet in what promises to be a hard-fought clash, but much of the spotlight will fall on Ryan Conway. The Kildress stalwart remains central to everything his side does his leadership, ball-winning, and ability to drive attacks often set the tempo. If Conway dominates the middle third, Kildress will fancy their chances; if Clonoe can curb his influence, the balance of the game will swing their way. Conway is the player who steadies the ship, breaks up attacks, and inspires those around him. His leadership and experience often dictate Kildress' rhythm—when Conway is in full flow, the team rises with him. Clonoe will know that limiting his influence could be the key to tipping the balance their way.
