Conor Clarke the first casualty of crazy CCC decision, prob be one or two more who will miss Monaghan game, and in his case rest of year.
Terrible decision.

Very Arrogant attitude:
What about the other ordinary club player who got injured over the weekend - are you not concerned for them also or are u just a 'county' supporter. Injury is a risk every day no matter the standard of player...

lads play for county on saturday and club champioship the following weekend. whereas mickey has the county lads for two weeks uniterrupted in the lead up to any game. mickey has veto over all fixtures, good luck to him

Was up at games this evening.  Seems coalisland were hi fiving and back slapping each other a little prematurely.  Took off their main scoring threats to a standing ovation from the terrace casuals. Subsequently surrendered possession easily and had no forward options when they needed a score.  Congrats to omagh on making the semis this yr at the least.

With Tyrone still in USFC the county players will be protected and get away with murder as well in remaining championship matches, referees' will be damned if they do damned if the don't if a county player is play acting or up to skull duggery

I would nearly go the other way and say county players get worse treatment in the club games than the average player. Dorris was sent out with the intention of taking Harte out of the game by fouling him off the ball, that was his sole purpose. If it had been done right he'd have picked up 2 yellow cards in the first half for being constantly at Harte, instead some people want to linesmen/referees to ignore this and then send of the county player when he eventually reacts and the aggressor lies in a pile trying to get him sent off. McGinley can also feel extremely hard done by to have been sent off considering he gave Clonoe players yell cards for similar challenges and then totally ignored the most blatant black card of the lot for a pull down by McNulty of Clonoe. His referring was extremely inconsistent throughout.

It was a very good club championship game. Tense throughout but with good passages of play. Clonoe are extremely lucky to be still be there but took there chance when it came with 10 minutes to go. They started off flying but Errigal dominated from around 10 minutes in until 10 minutes to go. I actually have plenty of respect for Errigal as they generally seem to go out to play football and not start the crap off the ball. I'm not sure if Clonoe will get a harder challenge in Tyrone this year and have a good chance of defending their title.

Mickey has openly said he wasn't happy with games this weekend so that's a load of crap. As I keep saying if you look at the counties Harte is trying to compete with in the majority of them they play less club football at this time of year and no championship. So he's not some kind of dictator. Our neighbours Armagh have stopped county players playing for their clubs for the last month ahead of a first round tie.

Is it known how bad Clarke's injury is or our people guessing? Very unfortunate as he seemed to start the game well and has been in decent form.

Great win for Omagh who showed a bit of character that people would often question coming from 4 down.

Beantown

I though the Fianna had the game in the bag when they moved 4 clear.. They seemed to tire at a crucial period in the game.. Quinn in corner forward picked up a knock and was taken off which was a huge blow . Philly Toner couldn't be marked at all last night. His driving runs forced Omaha to foul him every time.

Clarkes injury is a huge concern to Tyrone, he just seemed to twist something and you knew immediately it was serious enough.. Omagh have some serious flying machines up front but seemed to shoot for shootings sake a lot of the time and Oneill wanted the Hollywood type point too often. Crugan played well in midfield... All in all Fianna coup have easily won last night but fair play to Omagh for battling to the end and grabbing the crucial points in injury time

WT4E

I was at the omagh island game. V enjoyable game.

Thought that coalisland played well but got tactics wrong and some key decisions wrong at crucial times. They kept O'Neill very quiet by double marking but once O'Neill came out the field for last 15 it worked better for omagh.

Coal island seem to try and defend the lead too early instead of widening the gap when they were on top. Peter Donnellys decision to kick a 50/50 ball near the end of the game instead of lay off to free runners was poor as it resulted in a big score for omagh.

Conor O'Donnell was quiet enough the whole match but showed his class when he popped up with 2 class points to win it.

Niall Kerr played very well for coalisland but he let himself and his club down badly when the game was up for coalisland he busted Starrs v.dirty off the ball. It was right in front of were I was and starrs never seen him coming and it was an awful hard slap!

Great champo stuff overall though!

How many of Cookstowns league Games were you at last year?

Was appalled at Clonoe tonight. First 10 minutes they were a joy to watch had 6 points on the board. They then for some reason sat back and tried to be Donegal for the rest of the half with 13 men behind the ball. Colly Dorris was still on the pitch at this stage. When he got sent off Clonoe panicked. Errigal lacked composure. One time after Micky O'Neill decided to take on half the Errigal team they turned him over and had 2 on 1 where a simple fist pass would have resulted in a goal and probably killed the game. Individual brilliance from Ryan O'Neill saved their skins and the timing of the goal knocked Errigal for 6.

I had a perfect view of the scenes at the end. Harte refused a hand shake from Patrick Dorris. Dorris then said something that made Harte stop and turn. Dorris threw 2 punches before Harte lifted a fist. In my opinion Patrick Dorris was instructed to get under Hartes skin which he did very well from before the first whistle. However this was unbelievibly negitive from Clonoe who have the quality in their squad not needing to lower themselves to those tactics. I'd associate that more with Cookstown the way they played their league games last year.
Living the dream!!!

Club Rossa

Not a vintage performance by any means from the Rossa's today but we're just thankful to be in the quarters.Massive improvement needed to beat the Moy.

GAA Official Guide 2014, Part I. Rule 7.2 Infractions.

A One Match Suspension, applicable to the
next game in the Competitions specified,
even if that game occurs in the following year.
Don't think so Dromore had man sent of in county final two years ago and played first round the following year. Does anyone know if a card given for an incident after the final whistle carries a greater suspension?

I think this rule was only brought in/ amended at this year's congress.

Ref was a disgrace in Ardboe v Cookstown game.

Shea McGuigan struck at least three times and no red card. (On the last incident he gets a yellow for a clear strike which the linesman put his flag up for). How can you get a yellow for a punch to the face. Was very quick to flash the red card the other way for two incidents he did not see as he was facing the play.

Ardboe were better team on the day, but they faced 14 men for most of the game.
