I believe Carrickmore minor management were involved in a physical altercation with each other at the end of the league playoff final on Saturday. Not a great example to be setting to young people. Too much of this type of behaviour in our games. Some of the supporters are a disgrace also with the volley of abuse being shouted from the terraces. Madness. Just a rose tattoo away from English hooliganism

Jerome

Johnny Lafferty is there as a coach not a player. I think he featured for Urney in the championship.

Yes I had heard from someone over that way that he was in as a forward/attacking coach which is surprising considering they play 15 behind the ball! Not sure if he is still there at the minute though as we haven't played them since last year

There's only so much a forward coach (Johnny Lafferty) can do for Owen Roes... and in particular Cathal McShane! Seriously has McShane taken on a man since 2019?

Got 1-4 in the last game against the league Champions (1-2 from play)

Was also top scorer in Intermediate Championship in 2021.

No doubt about his ability, a top class forward on his day. Has had some unfortunate injuries in recent years however.

I'd say he regrets not moving down under, living in Owen Roes changing rooms is some difference.

Don't get me wrong McShane is still a decent forward at junior/ intermediate level. It still baffles me how Gortin won the league! Liam OG Massy and Sean OG Mcaleer are 2 lively forwards, but take them 2 out of it I would fancy teams like Killeshil/Aghaloo to beat them. Will that Shrek looking boy Keenan play another year, seemed to go off against Owen Roes with a bad injury. Gortins pitch will surely be assessed before the D1 league starts, I've seen training pitches that are bigger. If Gortin get more than 2 points in Division 1, I will donate £50 to every active member of this page! Cookstown vs Clogher scheduled for this Saturday, hopefully the Cookstown Minors can get themselves out of the pub in time for the match.

Dungannon loughmacrory going to be game of the weekend. Big question is who marks mcelholm maybe that fella gormley. Seems to be a rolls Royce defender. Shades of Ricey in his play has the white boots to fit aswell

Quote from: Batman1234 on September 15, 2024, 10:41:59 PMLoughmacrory v Dungannon has to be the game of the week this weekend. Fancy Dungannon to have an all round better team. Question marks over there midfield however, watched them get cleaned out by Trillick last year, an area loughmacrory could exploit. Interesting battle.
Richie Donnelly was in the form of his life last year and won that midfield battle. Paudie McNulty has been in impressive form all year and him against Cathal Donaghy will be an interesting battle.

Would like to see Donnelly back in the Tyrone set up

"2021" 3 years ago now. Tyrone also won the All Ireland in 2021 and look at them now. Obviously McShanes confidence is at all time low. Hope MOR can sort this out. I will be watching him keenly on Saturday against Derrylaughan, a team who conceded 1.17 against a Clogher side fighting relegated, surely McShane will fancy his chances.

You referenced 2019 - so that's why the example was given.

Ahh yes the year where Owen Roes scored 6 Points in a county Final Vs Moortown. Mcshane must have been unplayable that day!!!!

Have to agree, Cathal McShane oozed with talent until the Ozzies came knocking and Keystone decided it would be great to offer him the sun, moon and the stars.

Had 2 great years of football for Tyrone putting it nicely and theres men showing up for their county for years now year in year out that doesnt get half the recognition he does. Owen Roes bottlers, If Sean Og McAleer can cart Gortin to win a league what does that tell you about Cathal McShane and him a Division 2 stalwart now at this rate
