Can someone post all todays results?

Very little talk about the club games on here. Seems to be more talk during the off season or when county team being discussed about club being more important. Any reports from today's games? Seems to be big gap at minute between top and bottom teams . Seems to be a lot of poor enough quality teams in division 1 this year.

Surprised at the gap created already. Augher already look like they don't have much to offer, similar to Derrylaughan last year.  Donaghmore as per usual don't pick up points until other teams lose interest. Eskra at least appeared to be competitive which may give them hope.Today's results seen none of the bottom half getting results. Starred games should change a few things. Omagh will find wins harder, also Moy will be sitting ducks.
Living the dream!!!

Tattyreagh posting big scores in the Junior. Can see a three-way shootout there between them, the Hill and the Rock.

Teams promoted from Junior to Intermediate also struggling where as last year's relegated teams in the two divisions seem to be flying.

There appears to be the traditional yoyo sides and then those who never move.

As a matter of interest, who are the longest residents in division one?
And who has remained in junior the longest (of those currently there)?
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Certainly seems to be 4 or 5 teams in division 1 who will struggle this year. I don't remember a few years ago as many teams likely to take hammerings against the top half teams.

Any reports on how any of the county players played? This was always a dodgy round of fixtures for picking up bad injuries ahead of the ulster championship. Sounds positive enough so far. Ronan o'neill hitting 14 points on Thursday night seems to be finding form at the right time. Even the likes of justy, stevie and mcnabb seemed to be playing this weekend which was good.

Starred club games next weekend. Assume none the following?  Strange there is no fixtures up for 25th weekend. Can't see any reason for there not to be any or not release them?

maco

Championship games are fixed for 25th weekend so there will be no league game played.

Man Marker

To think that today's fixtures was the last meaningful matches for many clubs due to starred games next weekend before the sen championship is simply staggering. A full three\ four weeks before the games? many clubs only having their county players for four matches, not even the five matches that were promised.

Redhand Santa

As far I've seen the majority of the senior championship matches with one exception are being played from Thursday 29th May to Sunday 1st June. Tyrone play on Sunday 18th May. I know there a few championship matches the 25th weekend but surely that won't stop a round of fixtures? Assuming it doesn't then everyone will have had the county players for 5 games and there'll have been a starred game as well.

I've said before I think this is a good time for the championship and generates a bit more interest. In September there is less notice of fixtures and less time to look forward to the games. I know there's issues about players going to America for the summer if teams go out but its likely to happen anyway. In other years they always knew there was chance they could go and still be back for first round.

It's a pity Tyrone are in the preliminary round this year as it takes up more time. If Tyrone get to the ulster final there will be limited opportunities for non starred games. I think they should be careful not to rush though the starred games because if Tyrone have a good run you'd be safer having a few in August rather than leaving a huge gap between fixtures. If Tyrone got to the ulster final this year which is obviously very doubtful you'd have to imagine fixtures like this over next few months:

11th May weekend - starred games
18th May weekend - Tyrone Down no club games (assume won't bother with another starred round)
25th May weekend - full round of league fixtures (unless they decide to call of for few championship games which would be crazy)
1st June weekend - club championships
8th June weekend - starred games
15th June weekend - Tyrone Monaghan if got through
22nd June weekend - starred games (though as noted above you could use these up very early and no games during summer)
29th June weekend - If Tyrone get through ulster semi
6th July weekened - full round of games
13th July weekend - no games
20th July weekend - ulster final if Tyrone got there

So if Tyrone happened to get to ulster final there'll only be 2 more round of full league games between now and 20th July. It would mean by that date the first round of championship will have been played and 10 league games. With 2 starred rounds left to play and 3 full rounds.  Should end up in a better position than last year as Tyrone didn't progress in the league.

I said recently on here I think something has to be done to guarantee regular games for club players when county players aren't available so that there aren't big breaks between fixtures. Obviously teams don't want to end up playing at the wrong level because they have players missing so I think there has to be a separate competion where everyone accepts county players won't alway play in.

I suggested creating a championship into a league and knockout format. Have 2 8's in each championship. So every team is guaranteed 7 games with their county players plus knockout games. Top 4 go through to quarter finals with 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 etc. The bottom 2 teams in each section play of in relegation play offs and teams get promoted relegated. So every club will have all players available for the games which decide which championship they play in.

Then have a separate league competition which is either 3 divisions of 16 or 4 divisions of 12 (depending on how many games clubs feel they want during year) which is run separate to the championnship. Fixtures are set in stone and won't be called of due to county players not being available (whether they're senior, u21 or minor). However, they will play when available. This would mean clubs with county players could end up in a lower division but that would reflect their ability better when they haven't got them. Games could start a we bit early in mid March. I know there could be an argument teams wouldn't be interested but it has to be a better option than the current periods of inactivity during the season.

There will be no league games in case it affects Gate receipts at the Championship matches.

Is this definite or an assumption? There is no championship games on Saturday 24th May - maybe there'll be a round of games that evening.

Only an assumption but with games on the Friday and Sunday I would be surprised to see a round of league matches in any grade where teams were unavailable due to Championship commitments.

I see Errigal lll's going well in Div 3. Has there been a change in management?
