Congratulations to Clonoe O'Rahillys on winning the championship today. They have played some great football on their way to winning the title.Providing they can sober up before Sunday they will give Ballinderry a real test.

Credit to Carmen, fought to the bitter end but on the day were beaten by a better side.

+1.

Great final and a great occasion.

Was the 5 point winning margin the closest any team got to clonoe in the championship. This year? Very good team!

Wasn't at the county final as I'm a bit dosed right now, but listening to the radio commentary it sounded like Clonoe got the goals at the right times being just enough to keep Carrickmore at bay. Good luck to them in Ulster.

In the All-County leagues, looking at the state of play in Divisions 2 & 3...

Division 2 - Two rounds remaining

* One point from the last two games will be enough for Moortown to secure the league title as they have the win over Galbally.
* Galbally have all but assured a promotion play-off spot, but any team as far down as 10th could still get one of the remaining spots.
* Clann na nGael are relegated
* Dungannon, Stewartstown & Aghyaran need at least three points from their last two games to be certain of avoiding relegation.

Division 3 - Teams have between three to five games remaining

* Loughmacrory need three points from their last three games to win the league title. Only Clogher, Fintona and Killeeshil have a mathematical chance of catching Loughmacrory and on head to heads, Loughmacrory have wins over Clogher & Killeeshil while Fintona has the win over Loughmacrory.
* If Loughmacrory win both championship and league, league runner-up will also be automatically promoted. Mathematically any team as far down as 13th can still finish second (except for T***yreagh) but anything below 6th is highly unlikely. More will be known after next week's JFC final.
* Regardless of whoever wins the league and championship, sixth will be enough for a promotion play-off place. Killyman currently occupy this spot with Newtownstewart and Beragh one point behind and Brocagh three points behind, all with four games left to play.

Remember if teams are tied level on points then in the case of two teams the league result between the two decides who finishes higher in the league table, followed by (and in the case of three on more teams level on points) score difference, higher total score for followed by a play-off.

think you are right. 13 points might not be enough to stay up in div 2. hopefully eskra will win ifc and they'll not be too bothered about playing remaining league games especially ours.
hope we dont end up rueing yesterdays result. we were 6 points up in injury time yesterday and but let the clarkes in for 2 last gasp goals (probably unheard of in this day and age of cynical fouling). clarkes have improved a lot tbf and seem to be heading in the right direction again.

tyroneboi

Clarshack I think you will be grand with another 2 points based on your head to head record against derrytresk? It's probably looking like rock and derrytresk for the playoffs though the Rock seem to be getting a bit of momentum with their run in the championship so i think they will stay up.

Clarshack. Is it correct that the Harps have yet to win a competitive game on their new pitch?

Norf Tyrone

Enjoyable afternoon in Healy Park today. I thought the atmosphere and the intensity of the game was a wee bit subdued, but an enjoyable game nonetheless. As Fionn says Clonoe just got the goals as Carrickmore were upping their game, and getting a foothold in the game.

Truth be told not a great deal separated the sides, bar in my opinion, 15 mins of brilliance from Conor McAliskey in the first half. His assist for the opening goal was fantastic, and he got a couple of sweet points too. I thought Dan McNulty and PJ Lavery had very good games too, with Lavery the best performer over the hour.

Only fair to say, that Sludden had a decent afternoon reffing too, and it's good that our showpiece game had no red cards, nor controversial moments.

Well done Clonoe.

no, we beat urney in first competitive game shortly after it was opened in 2011. Last year we won 2, drew 1 and lost 3 on new pitch. strabane beat us on old pitch. this year we have drawn 3 and lost 3 so far. if we had those 9 dropped home points we would be in some position!

its obviously taking a while for our older players to get used to new pitch as its a lot bigger.
our youth teams generally perform well on it.

Minor championship final is next Saturday in Dungannon at 3.45.

I can't see there being any league or reserve championship fixtures this Saturday ( afternoon especially ) given that CCC want to make the 2 minor finals high profile and to ensure that as many people as possible are free to attend them ?.

If someone gets this week's fixtures, can you post them please ?

Great performance from clone.....finished off a very impressive championship. far and away the best team and steamrolled all teams except for a dogged carmen performance to stick with them for so long. a very welled organised team with individual brilliance all over, mcaliskey brilliant for first 15mins, lavery, doris and  s.mcnulty throughout and d.mcnulty in second half. very impressive to watch. doris impresses me more and more every time, i know he's old and probably wouldnt want it anyway but surely has to at least get invited for tyrone?

Considering half our minors are involved with our Reserves, and I'd take a stab that quite a few of Aghaloo's minors are in a similar position with their own club, I can't see the JRFC game between the two going ahead on Saturday.
Are there many players in the Ardboe and Errigal Ciaran minor camps also involved as senior or reserve level which will clash with their ACL games?

This tells you all you need to know if you didn't know it already.

CCC's excuse not to play a minor final in front of the county final today was that they wanted to give the minor final the highest profile possible and that it would be fixed at a time and date that would allow as many people as possible to attend the minor finals.

Yet another slap in the face.

Putting on grade 1 and 2 minor finals at the exact same throw in time as senior league games and reserve championships just goes to prove the mess that is Tyrone CCC and fixture making.

But sure at least Errigal aren't affected by this. They've got their game on to allow them to support their minor team which is good to see. Ardboe getting a kicking again.

matchfit21

Well done clonoe. Head and shoulders best team this year!
A question here for ardboe men, do you think there is genuinely a witchhunt against your club by tyrone cb?? Seen a few posters on twitter who seem convinced they are being picked on?

Norf Tyrone

A lot of Clubs giving aff about this week's fixtures. Aghyaran are in the Ulster ladies Junior final this Saturday too, at the same time as the res C'ship.
