McConnell actually had a decent game as ref tonight. No dodgy or controversial decisions from him and didn't stand out.
yeah did ok tonight, should have sent clonoe no.5 off, but had a decent game otherwise

You sound very very surprised, and tbh im not surprised. Two good games in dunmoyle, trillick could have won the game if they hadn't showed clonoe so much respect, they seemed to just sit back and let clonoe come at them after they scored their two goals. Clonoe look mightly impressive in the midfield sector, shane o hagan and stevie mc nulty seem to have a great partnership, with both players also able to play a bit of ball as well. But IMO clonoe seem to lack a top class forward as well as specialist man marker, they moved damien burke on to niall gormley after he skinned aidan brady. I dont think he would be able to mark top forwards like, eoin mc cusker or ronan o neill and because of this may come up short against the top teams. Looking forward to some fantastic ties  next weekend thank god the championship is back.  ;D

Family guy

Num 10 was it collie dorris was the main man around midfield for clonoe lost count the number of clean catches he done, clonoe totally dominated midfield and still only won by 2 points,if trillick hada got something outa mattie donnelly they would probably have won the game,he couldnt get going when he was playing inside and like wise when he came out the field,i think dromore or carmen might have to much for clonoe but that game could well stand to them

Championship matches are for winning. That's all that will matter around clonoe this morning. They are in the the quarters and have got over the first round hurdle for the first time since they won the O'Neill cup. No one will want them in the next round.
Tough times don't last, tough people do!

yeah really glad the championship is back, nothing better! went to the double header in edendork. true, the games weren't of the same quality that the errigal-carmen game will be next weekend, but i thought they were both exciting games. fair dues to Moortown, dont think anyone gave them a chance, rode their luck but still, their a championship team as they say!
thought cookstown didnt enjoy a lot of luck from the referee yesterday. but they played well it fits really, derrylaughan played well, and congrats to them. Ciaran Gervin looks a solid player!
Didnt see the clonoe game, but they'l be glad to get over trillick and a lot of teams will be looking to avoid them

Yeh Clonoe are happy to still be in the draw. the hope would be we cant play so poorly for long stretches again. will the draw be made live on sunday night or alter during the week?
First on the field and last to leave

i think the draw is due to be after the errigal carmen game

I'm usually confident going into a game no matter who we are playing but I don't know what to think this time. All neutrals seem to be going for Carmen and that is understandable given form. If Errigal players all stand up and play to full potential and do not hit 17/18 wides like our last Championship outing then I think we could win but things do not usually go like that. A close game with a possible draw on the cards.

I hope John Morrison has the number for that waste disposal company, Eglish championship prospects needs to go into that skip!!! :D

Thats a good idea. Get morrison to order a few skips, jump into it and pray to God that he never returns to Eglish again. The Clown Prince!

Any hope the Moy had is surely gone now. Its amazing to think that with all the Errigal Ciaran Carmen games over the years  - this is the first early season tie.  Id expect a huge crowd.  I also fancy Errigal to realise their undoubted potential.

Please add ratings and comments.
Ciaran Gervin impressed a few so far.
Johnny Lafferty - constantly mentioned for his fashionable performances for unfashionable urney

In fairness Moy never had any hope to begin with! Lol-Morrison-he's some boy! A clown, a clown for all the world to see! A winning mentality is what Eglish should have brought to the game but after throwing their last ACL game to Greencastle and already promising Derrylaughan points in their final league game Eglish have only themselves to blame!

Eglish havent promised anyone any points!! But in fairness, we have nothing to play for now, nobody will be out training. Therefore Derrylaughen will beat Eglish.

Wrong-Prior to the weekends exit from the championship a Eglish player proclaimed that Greencastle were granted points and that this was a long standing arrangement between the two clubs. He also said that Derrlaughan would be gifted two points in the final league game! Maybe this lie down and take it up the ass approach had an influence on their performance yesterday?

Of course now the final league game is a no contest as Derrylaughan successfully dealt with Cookstown, and i fully expect them to secure survival against Eglish. Will the magician Morrison be on the line? Will the valentines card be changed for a farewell or deepest sympathy card?
