yep, Derry have really gone backwards the past while, with all those Ulster titles they have piled up the past ten years :D :D Here's a quiz question, when is the last time Derry put back to back games in the Ulster championship?

Fianna - reigning champs, within a whisker of ulster final and never really played as well as they could.
Dromore - best team in county past few years & still alot of young players will benefit from a break.
Carmen - proved last year they still have it.
Omagh - massive youthl will be hoping to break through.
Ardboe - will have regrouped and ready to challenge after the disappointment of 2009
Clonoe - watched neighbours do so well last year, will have a point to prove, and Cassidy is back at helm.

And EC reckons Errigal will be bookies favourites????

Should be one of most open championships in years. bring it on

IMO Coalisland will be the team to beat, their win last year will have given them great confidence, followed by Errigal.

2009 - they played Monaghan then Tyrone.

Errigal were Bookies favourites last year. What has changed that would make them install different favourites?  Who do you think should be favourites?

Maybe you missed it but since that time an unfancied Coalisland have beaten Errigal and went on to win the championship. ;)
No outstanding favourites, just 7 teams that could beat anyone of the others on their day.

Club Rossa

Lads,a championship was never won in the bookies. There are possibly 7 teams in with a good shout of winning the championship this year, the favourites tag counts for feck all.

I see Mulgrew has left the panel ahead of the McKenna Cup.

Very true. It will be a close Championship this year with many teams in with a shout.

The draw will have a big say in who the bookies will have a the shortest price, some of the big teams drawn against each other in the first round will push the prices out.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

my list above has all changed. its a new year, players a year older, youth developing, new management, new hunger etc.

as already said, think whichever get the easier draw will be favourites, but when league football begins we might have a better idea of form. should be interesting

Wee Roddy

I wouldnt back league form as an indicator. Carickmores early season form was terrible last season losing game after game. Yet, we would argue, and i stress we, that only for fatigue after the 2 Omagh struggles and an injury to Gaby McCallan, they could well have been county champions.

Was talking to Fianna man who said they are amazed Paddy O'Farrell did not get call up to Tyrone squad as he was the player of this year's club championship and still only 28. He captained Tyrone Ulster minor final in 2000 and played in Under 21 All Ireland final in 2003 yet never got a chance with the seniors and they reckon is most consistent player with Coalisland for years.

Agree totally. class act. think he had a few long spells out injured which may have worked against him
