Cavlan is off as Killyclogher win
A late Brian McGuigan point saw Edendork grab a share of the spoils with Gortin at Galbally on Sunday.
McGuigan's effort levelled the game at 0-11 apiece. Friday's replay winners face Cookstown in the quarter-finals.

There was a bit more physical action as Killyclogher beat Dungannon 0-12 to 0-4 with Ger Cavlan one of four players sent off following a straight red.

Killyclogher now face Coalisland while Errigal Ciaran tackle Donaghmore and Dromore are up against Kildress.

Does Cavlan's red card mean another visit to the DRA?

That Mickey Hughes just loves himself - he banished Pillar Caffrey to the stands today in Croke Park, inspeted the pitch at Casement and had still time to send off 4 players at Galbally this evening - it's time this man caught himself on and quit refereeing - he should take a course in being in love with oneself - he'd be doing him and the rest of us a service - otherwise - he should be charged with briniging the game into disrepute -

Sorry orangeman.  You're right.  That Mooney man lives for the news from this site.  Talking to a few Galbally men tonight and they would be happy that the game was resolved to everyones satisfaction.  Let's hope that is the end of it.

You have some good sources hoganstandman  :).

God knows when those ties will be played.
1) E/C V Donaghmore.  The game to set the championship on fire this year.  Would have to fancy E/C the holders for their experience but maybe the game to put Donaghmore at last on the footballing map. A source informed me that they have been drawn against E/C and Carmen for 8 out of the last 10 years - they are probaly the unluckiest when it comes to the hat.  E/c by 2
2) Kildress V Dromore - Dromore will be happy with this draw as this is a team they can match physically and still beat on football. Expect a few cards in this one.  Dromore will be close this year to breaking their duct.  Kildress are simply happy to have won a game in the championship.
3)  Coalisalnd will be pleased with this draw and should progress to a semi final reltively untested.  Killyclogher are a shadow of themselves and appear to be having a somewhat turbulent year, switching every fixture that comes their way? Fianna are the form team of 2007 and seem relentless in their quest to bring the O Neill Cup East.  With that draw would have to be the bookies favourites with too much speed against a slow  and disinterested Killyclogher team who have yet to prove they are more than a 1 year wonder.
4) Cookstown V edendork / Gortin.  Cookstown post Coyle are making great strides and should make the O Neill cup semifinal in the side of the draw which will eliminate 2 of the weakest 3 teams left in the competition. Could an O Neill cup dark horse slip through the net.  Cookstown's odds on making an ONeill cup final must be dropping coinsiderably by the week.

Ardboe and Galbally game ended in a draw. There was a scuffle at the end of the game but the game was finished. Entertaining game despite the conditions. Mickey Murphy played very well for Galbally fetching a few great balls, the break from the county panel seems to have worked well for him.

Game was abandoned after mass brawl. They even fought in car park. But they managed to pressurise the Referee to finish the game using bully boy tactics. Thats 100% official. I am from a neighbouring East Tyrone club and it was the whole talk last night.

Snappiered I think you should get your facts right before coming on to forums like this and posting information that is not correct. You say it is 100% official that the ref was pressurised into finishing the game by "bully boy tactics" and that you know this as you are from a neighbouring club. Were you at the game to see this? I was and the referee was not intimidated in any way. He restarted the game of his own free will, if he didnt want to finish the game he didnt have to.

ONeill

So that's a Cavlan red card, Gormley broken jaw, Brian McGuigan pointing for Edendork....another typical weekend of Tyrone club football.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Peter Petrelli

who was good for Moortown and Fintona yday? Div2 championship gonna be very tight nothing much in any of the games so far, was at Brocagh VS Aghaloo on friday nite was quite impressed with how fast Brocagh moved the ball. the two Donnelly boys were very good and KB Scullion and Glen Scullion the pick of the defence.

Quarterback

Very entertaining game yesterday in ardbo with both teams playing some nice football in tough conditions.  Galbally had the better of the early exchanges with Micky Murphy prominent in midfield and the inside line of Declan Murphy & Paul Rafferty causing all sorts of problems for Ardbo.

As things progressed, ardbo got to grips around the middle of the park with Big Mc Conville winning quite abit of first phase ball...The game was pretty much nip and tuch until the final 15 where ardbo went 3 up with around six munites remainind.  Galbally didnt lie down though and an Aidan Hagan Goal allied with a handful of Mc Gurk Frees brought them right back into contention.  The game finished with a minor scurmish, but after order was restored the game was plaed out and both teams will be happy with a point...
